I might have liked Mr. Paul but he seems to have done too much adjusting and explaining. It is far better to maintain than to trim, even positions you deem to be unpopular. Trimming as a candidate foretokens unreliability in office.

If Cruz can avoid attacking other Republicans, even Bush;
if he can avoid denying charges and smears;
if he can avoid apologizing for anything at all or "explaining;"
if he can maintain a sense of humor;
if he can refrain from speaking rapidly;
he might just be the man.

Now would be a good time to donate to the Ted Cruz campaign. Let’s raise more campaign dollars this week than the Rand Paul campaign.

Hopefully, like most of us, hope more enter the race. Each should listen to each other and take the best ideas of attacking the communists Democrats. Hillary must be destroyed and the idea that King Obama, through civil disorder, will get a third term must fail. When the final candidate, selected by the Republican voters, we get totally behind regardless of some of the platform a few ideas might not be perfect. No matter what we have to get the Presidency or America is finished.

Rand Paul's supporters will be fiercely loyal. The most important thing is to welcome him, and them... and help them transition to Cruz (or Walker) when it is time for Rand to bow out of the race (which his father always did FAR too late).
Most libertarians are fully on board with lower taxes, smaller government, less bureaucracy, etc. There IS room for them in this tent!!!

I think Cruz had better be careful what he asks for.

You know that ron paul's offspring is not too confident or he would do what Marco Rubio is doing and not run for the senate as a backstop.
At least rubio, who could run for both, shows some class and is picking only one.

It appears that Ted Cruz has the first contender he can begin to pound into the ground truthfully and intellectually.

The criminals among them are not the problem. The totals are the problem.If they stay they are ineluctably on the way to citizenship and Democrat voting. The criminals are an irritant to the culture. The totals, if allowed to stay are the death of the culture and the political system which is ailing morbidly already.
