WASHINGTON, DC - House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement in response to the president’s remarks on the Iran nuclear talks:
“The president says negotiators have cleared the basic threshold needed to continue talks, but the parameters for a final deal represent an alarming departure from the White House’s initial goals. My longtime concerns about the parameters of this potential agreement remain, but my immediate concern is the administration signaling it will provide near-term sanctions relief. Congress must be allowed to fully review the details of any agreement before any sanctions are lifted.
“After visiting with our partners on the ground in the Middle East this week, my concerns about Iran’s efforts to foment unrest, brutal violence and terror have only grown. It would be naïve to suggest the Iranian regime will not continue to use its nuclear program, and any economic relief, to further destabilize the region.
“In the weeks ahead, Republicans and Democrats in Congress will continue to press this administration on the details of these parameters and the tough questions that remain unanswered. We will stand strong on behalf of the American people and everyone in the Middle East who values freedom, security, and peace.”

Folks, I seriously think it’s important that he go on the record saying stating the obvious fact that Iran is getting more dangerous, not less. It gets in the way of the gauzy, state-run-media, peace-in-our-time stuff—not because it will get taken seriously by the state-run media, but because someone said it at all, and because he is Speaker, it will be quoted. Just to state an obvious truth reaches the very large number of people who recognize that 0bama is, as usual, doing something treasonous and crazy.
Boehner is so mad he wrote a sternly worded letter. And he might even write a second sternly worded letter in the future.
Yeah, he always talks a good game...right up to the point when he caves completely.
This should earn Boner a thump on the nose from the WH.
If boner wants to keep getting his orange glow the natural way through tanning beds rather than a nuclear blast, he better lock up Barry now.
Bottom line.....Sanctions work! We know that, they know that, then this IDIOT removes the hammer.
