With the black marble of the Indiana House of Representatives behind him, Gov. Mike Pence in January trumpeted a laundry list of accomplishments achieved in the first half of his first term: Two balanced budgets. A falling unemployment rate. More than 100,00 new jobs created. It seemed the predicate for a potential 2016 run. The wimpy but acceptable answer would have been to claim that the law seeks a compromise that discriminates the least against either side of the gay marriage issue. That would have been the claim the middle answer, weak, but defendable and not a flip flop.
The strong answer? See Ted Cruz response. That is why we need a candidate like Ted Cruz who dose not fall for a media gotcha trap.
