Of Couse Ted Cruz Could Win
NRO ^ | 24 March 2015 | Kevin Williamson

Columnists and their headline writers have a habit of offering hostages to Fate — e.g., “Let’s not even pretend Ted Cruz has a chance of becoming president,” “Let’s be serious about Ted Cruz from the start: He’s too extreme and too disliked to win,” “Opposition from Republicans who care about winning in 2016 will doom the chances of a senator whose tactics . . . have established him as a loudmouth loser.”

We have heard this sort of thing before.

“Reagan can’t win, Ford says.” That’s the 1976 version. The 1980 New York Times version, with the nearly identical headline: “Ford Declares Reagan Can’t Win.” Ford was really quite sure of himself: “Every place I go, and everything I hear, there is a growing, growing sentiment that Governor Reagan cannot win the election.” New York magazine: “The reason Reagan can’t win. . . . ” “Preposterous,” sociologist Robert Coles wrote about the idea of a Reagan victory.

The founder of this magazine worried that Reagan simply could not win in 1980, and several National Review luminaries quietly hoped that George H. W. Bush would be the nominee. There were serious, thoughtful conservatives who thought in 1980 that their best hope was to have Daniel Patrick Moynihan run as a Democrat that year, while many others were looking to ex-Democrat John Connally to carry the conservative banner on the GOP side.

Things have a funny way of working out differently than expected. (And then much, much differently.)

“Let’s be serious about Ted Cruz from the start: He’s too extreme and too disliked to win,”

Better and more honest:

“Let’s be serious about Hillary Clinton from the start: She’s too extreme and too disliked to win,”

Correction: EXCEPT for Massive Voter fraud.. Ted Cruz could WIN!..

Then there’s the ballot stuffing and bags of votes missing over-looked or lost in transit to be considered..

Why does every colomnist in America have to give their opinion on whether or not Ted Cruz can win? I think I have seen about 40 of them in the last day.

If the MSM really didn’t think he could win, they would just leave him alone. They have convinced me he can, and will win.

This primary could be open very quickly, although Cruz is not even in the first tier in NH and is actually behind Donald Trump of all people.

There is huge denial going on over at the MSM.

Such denial actually helps Cruz. Plus he is not afraid to call MSM out on being treated differently than the current president, i.e. on lack of experience. He’s as sharp an orator we’ve had on the Republican side and stand his ground.

I think these qualities will shift enough of the 20% who decide elections, his way, to win.

TED CRUZ - MORE THAN QUALIFIED TO BE POTUS - 2016
http://www.tedcruz.org/

Pretty impressive...
• Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 - May 2008, Cruz was the first Hispanic Solicitor General in Texas, the youngest Solicitor General in the entire country, not to mention the longest tenure in Texas history.
• Partner at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he led the firm’s U.S. Supreme Court and national appellate litigation practice.
• Cruz has authored 80+ SCOTUS briefs and presented 40+ oral arguments before The Court
• Cruz served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Cruz was the first Hispanic ever to clerk for a Chief Justice of the United States
• Described as a ‘superb’ constitutional lawyer, the man’s considerable skills and laser-like focus were on display for all when he took oily reptile Eric Holder by the neck and made him
answer the damn question.
• In the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz assembled a coalition of 31 states in defense of the principle that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms.
• Cruz presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
• In addition to his victory in Heller, Cruz has successfully defended the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds, the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools and the majority of the 2003 Texas redistricting plan. Cruz also successfully defended, in Medellin v. Texas, the State of Texas against an attempt by the International Court of Justice to re-open the criminal convictions of 51 murderers on death row throughout the United States.
• Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission
• Domestic Policy Advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign.
• Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation
• Ted Cruz is currently junior US Senator from Texas. In order to win the 2012 Republican nomination for the Senate seat vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison, Cruz had to defeat Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst -heavily favored/backed by the DC old-guard GOP- in the Republican primary runoff. In the event, TEA Party favorite Cruz crushed Dewhurst, 57-43%...
he then beat Democrat Paul Sadler in the general election by a similar margin, 56-41. Cruz is also endorsed by the Tea Party Movement and the Republican Liberty Caucus.
• AWARDS: “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business,” Chambers USA (2009 & 2010) “50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America,” National Law Journal (2008) “25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century,” Texas Lawyer (2010) “20 Young Hispanic Americans on the Rise,” Newsweek (1999) Traphagen Distinguished Alumnus, Harvard Law School
• On November 14, 2012, Cruz was appointed vice-chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He is now spearheading efforts in the Senate to have root-and-branch...
Godspeed, Senator Cruz- I’m all in.

The MSM and the entire LIBERAL left is scared to death of Cruz because he SPEAKS TRUTH to POWER.

As one LIBERAL might tell another LIBERAL.. "we sure DON'T want that."

Cruz is comin' down the mountain and they know it. That's WHY they attack him.

"He’s too extreme and too disliked to win"

The truth is democrats, Rino's and the MSM, have nothing of substance (nor will they ever have) with which to attack Cruz, (he has been already thoroughly vetted) they only have personal attacks, right now that is ok it is gaining Cruz name recognition, he is more than capable of sifting thru the lies by presenting the truth and facts, as time goes on these personal type attacks will wear very thin and likely work to his advantage.

One thing is certain, just casual observation of Cruz reveals he is not the least bit worried, besides it is obvious he is not in it to gain glory and power, he knows what he believes he stands rock solid; his goal is the restoration of our Constitutional Free Republic.

Believe me...people are going to like a guy who stands by his principles....even when he is being pummeled by the left and even his own party. Ted ran on repealing Obamacare and has done everything in his power to do it. Even when morons in his own party were bad mouthing him.
