Questions are being raised over two U.S. foundations that have poured more than three million dollars into abortion rights, LGBT activist, and legal groups to push the message that exemptions based on religious beliefs are “un-American” and an abuse of liberty.

The Arcus Foundation and the Ford Foundation have spent over $3 million in combined spending against religious liberty exemptions since 2013, according to a CNA review of tax forms and grant listings.

With all due respect to mom & pop, please consider the following.

If parents were making sure that their children were being taught 10th Amendment-protected state powers versus constitutionally unprotected, PC “rights” then the US foundations would just be throwing their money away imo.

Angie’s List is really upset over the law, does not like religious freedom. Odd how these companies involve themselves not only in this issue, but also marriage laws and illegal aliens that should not be their concern.

Just wondering about the publishing industry, at least those publishing mystery genre. The last five mystery novels read all that a pro-gay lecuture/message irrelevant to the plot:
1. Harlan Coben's "Missing You." Apparently he is gay or bi and that is okay. But towards the end of this novel he has this long speech about the beauty of gay love that has nothing to do with the plot.
2. Felix Francis's latest novel ("Damage"?). He is the son of the late Dick Francis and uses his father's name on his novels. In this one he inserts shorts comments how it is okay to be gay and lectures an elderly man about not using politically incorrect terms about gays. Again these incidents were unrelated to the plot.
3. P.D. James's "Private Patient" (published several years ago) that has nice lesbian raped, an incident that has absolutely nothing to do with the plot.
4. A novel whose author and title I have forgotten. It annoyed me because of the blatant product placement of constantly mentioning Ben & Jerry ice cream. She kept mentioning a couple of gay men bringing her food that was not related to the plot.

I just thought that it was odd that in all 4 mystery novels the topic of gays was inserted unrelated to the plot. Perhaps the authors were reliving their own fantasies. Or had they been asked to do it?
