ENGLEWOOD, Fla. That massive alligator is back on a golf course, and he appears to be hungry. Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood posted photos of the gator the staff calls Goliath (good name for him) on the golf courses Facebook page. This time, the big guy is apparently in the process of devouring a turtle.

Possible. Dinosaurs used stones (gizzard stones) to aid digestion, because they lacked molars. From what I’ve seen of alligators, they don’t chew their food, either...just chomp and gulp.

Would it be too much to ask for someone to stand next to it for scale?

I’ll personally pay the green fees for odumbo to play as many holes as he wants on that course. Is shouting, “Go Gaitors” racist?

Comparing the length of the hole marker flag pole and the gaitor’s length. He’s about 6-7 ft.

Ill personally pay the green fees for odumbo to play as many holes as he wants on that course. I'll sell tickets. I have some friends that can set up a gator-tail food cart.

Why do alligator’s like hanging out on the golf course?
Because they don’t have blow holes!

If you knew anything about the way God made Florida you would know how vital gators are to a whole line of life.
If you can't deal with nature just stay in the city.

I’m not buying it until I see a tape measure on it. Do you REALLY believe what the media says?

I grew up in Florida and I’m 73...don’t lecture me on history kid. I live in a gated community, one safe for someone my age...not a stupid swamp. The gators came here to our newly formed ponds, ponds the government made us build for the health of “wildlif.” There were no gators here before because it was all dry land...a tree farm for Union Camp. So we are not “displacing” the poor gators.
