The result of a Pennsylvania special election doesn't bode well for the president's party in 2016.
The Democrats have yet to realize they are in free fall, dragged down by the anchor that is the unsuccessful reign of Barack Obama. Despite evidence to the contrary from all across the country, where the president’s party and its allies continue to suffer unexpected electoral defeats and are frequently on the losing end of battles to reverse policies in place since Lyndon B. Johnson’s Great Society and even Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal, Democrats and progressives in the nation’s capital are digging in their heels.
The latest example comes from Pennsylvania where on Tuesday 26-year-old Republican financial advisor Martina White posted an upset victory in a special election for a seat in the state House of Representatives. GOP voters in that district are outnumbered by Democrats 2-to-1, and Obama carried it in 2012 with 57 percent of the vote.
White knocked on nearly 6,000 doors on her way to victory in this northeast Philadelphia district, proving once again that when it comes to boots-on-the-ground and grassroots campaigning there is no substitute, especially at the local level. Her decision to focus on taxes – she said repeatedly she’d fight to keep property taxes in check while a member of the state Legislature – and education funding were an important part of her formula for victory.
She also benefited, it should be noted, from a serious split among the Democrats over which candidate the party would nominate, with ward heelers and elected officials playing favorites. In the end, the split was enough to earn White the backing of several local unions including the Fraternal Order of Police.

Exactly, the regime has been working day and night shipping these illegals all over the country and giving them ID cards and SS numbers. Even if only a small portion of them vote, it will be devastating to the election. There are few laws or enforcement in place to prevent it. They will have armies of democrats out in force educating these illegals on how to register and vote!
This is a planned and controlled invasion of our country by a foreign army/entity bought and paid for and executed by our president and his army of flying monkeys. If this isn’t treason, I don’t know what is!
Well, I just hope they keep not voting. I know they only vote in POTUS election years but they really seem to be sitting on their collective a**es. No complaints here.

The quota boy has been the best thing ever to happen to the republican party.
Tom Wolf has telegraphed that we’re in for a four-year blitzkrieg where he will try and raise every tax under the sun.
Knowing that’s on the table surely helps Republicans even in Dem-leaning districts.
After all, In the 'Burgh, "Democrats are for the workin' man; Republicans are for the rich."
While it is impossible to predict the future, it is possible to predict trends. The socialist have had a good run beginning in the early 1900s up until today. However, Obama may be the last socialist elected.
If what socialist believed were possible we would be living in a utopia where every social problem was solved, and no one would have any financial worries at all.
The hard truth is, socialism does not work.
A healthy economy can hide the failure of socialism but not eliminate the damage done. The more socialist policies that are put into place, the more the economy is hurt, the less money available to pay for the socialist dreams. Like a pyramid scheme a point is reached where there is not enough money to keep everything going. We are nearing that point.
The only question (and one that can not be answered) is if the fall of socialism will be “soft”, a non-violent political shift in the power structure, or “hard”, a violent shift in our political structure.
Free speech, and free association are safety valves for a society. Allowing people to express their concerns and dislikes keeps the pressure for change under control.
The left has through their support of “hate crime” laws, and political correctness and restricting people in their free association have disabled this safety valve.
An overheated steam engine with a disabled safety valve will explode.
Can the movement away from socialism be made fast enough to remove the building pressure before the explosion happens? I don’t know. If I was a socialist, I would be worried.
