It's going to be hard for the Republicans to field a presidential candidate as enthusiastic about the H-1B visa as U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). Cruz, who announced his presidential bid this morning, once proposed an immediate increase in the base H-1B cap from 65,000 to 325,000. Cruz offered the H-1B increase as an amendment in 2013 to the Senate's comprehensive immigration bill.

i believe that’s supposed to be the rule now
but the corporations just sign whatever forms to get the foreign workers in here
anyway
and of course our WashingtonDC regime is NOT going to remove any foreigners from our country
You’re confusing the discussion with facts.
My facts trump your assertion because of the recency of his opposition to the H1-B visa bill.
The Texas Senator has proven himself to be an effective legislator and has successfully defended the U.S. Constitution before the Supreme Court numerous times.
I respect Walker for what he has done in Wisconsin, but he has been hashed and rehashed over the airwaves for several years now.
We need a fresh face, an unabashed leader who will stand for GOD, FAMILY, COUNTRY and the U.S. Constitution.
TED CRUZ inspires. He is that man.
This was 3 months after he was elected and the American Enterprise Institute had a good reputation.
Might be the first amendment he authored.
He messed up.
The greatest since Reagan?? just cause you say so? He may turn out to be great thats true... and it would be nice if he was... but a large percentage of those HB1s are mudslimes... and bringing in more of them seems like a not so good idea... but maybe thats just my standards.. yours may be entirely different.
I see that statement a lot around here. A lot of the Cruz supporters were saying that about some of Walker's statements or actions; some say it about Rubio; most say it about Jeb.
So let me ask you, with no snark or antagonism intended: What are the issues that are deal-breakers for you, and who in the race meets all of your personal criteria? And if no one that meets every standard you set enters the race or lasts very long, what will you do?
This sentence is a bit confusing. Did you mean:
I did not like voting for McCain and Romney, but I did not vote so I am not responsible for this travesty in the white house (it must kill him to live there)
You should. Corporate income taxes are also far too high here.
I won’t be following you into the voting booth. You may vote for anyone you like or skip it entirely.
So just because Walker gives a speech to the Chamber of Commerce, that is enough to disqualify him in your eyes? Wow.
Now, if you disagree with what Walker says or does, fine. State what it was that he says or did that you disagree with and why. But to imply that just agreeing to give a speech for a group with whom you disagree is somehow nefarious or disqualifying is ridiculous.
Walker is missing-in-action in targeting the Chamber of Amnesty in Wisconsin. They are helping to bring in illegal invaders to work jobs at the expense of poor and middle-class American citizens. These illegal invaders are criminals. They have no respect for law and order. They tend to commit more crimes because of their special government-approved, get-out-of-jail card whenever they are arrested.
So, yeah, his refusal to act now as Governor to stop the illegals from invading Wisconsin has caused crime to go up.
As I have said repeatedly to others, I am not in Walker's camp. I like Ted, and and I hope he can use this opportunity to connect to the grassroots and catch fire. But I do get tired of supporters of various candidates throwing out loaded phrases and vague accusations against another candidate.
(The following is a general comment to all of FR, not specifically to you...)
If you don't like another candidate, give specific reasons and examples - you might even be able to persuade someone to your viewpoint. But if all you are doing is attacking other candidates, you not only will probably not persuade the supporters of that candidate that you are correct, you will probably insure that they will never support your candidate even if he is the only one left in the race...
Scott Walker is an excellent choice.
Here's some disconcerting facts:
Latino gangbangers in Governor Walker's own backyard has spiked exponentially because of the Welcome Mat put out by the Chamber of Amensty in Wisconsin.
"Between 2012 and 2014, the number of known gang members charged with offenses, on average, grew 350 percent as compared to 2004. Of that, violent crimes involving a firearm, weapon or bodily harm on average surged 195 percent."
Wisconsin Gang-banger Crime Up
"The proliferation is due to an increase in Latino gangs, the increasing involvement of young women and the fact that the city now has second- and third-generation gang members, Wray said."
Gang-tied shootings 'a priority' for Madison police
If Governor Walker obstinately refuses to clean up the illegal invader crime in his own backyard, just imagine his callous disregard for your own backyard of illegal invader crime if he is elected President.
Ok. I believe what Cruz says, don’t even know you...
Don't make general statements - tell me specifically Walker, as governor, should have done differently. Don't tell me what the Legislature could have done, or what the county sheriffs should do - what did Walker not do that was within the power of his office to resolve the situation? Because most of the things you are complaining about don't seem to fall within the purview of the governor...
Are you kidding me? This is a deal breaker? This is nothing. Its from 2013 it never got passed. I don’t even know that anyone has proved its so bad.
Cruz talked about this on Hannity last night. He wants to increase legal immigration so that the best and brightest come here instead of:
The low life, scum, barrio refuse that live next door to me right now and drive their sorry vans down the side yard destroying my property and forcing me to put down my martini and go out and scream the “F” word at them and threaten to sue the landlord.
So cry me a river over H1B visas. Get real!
A deal breaker? Really?
Due to the clear and present danger to Wisconsin citizens by thieving, raping, and murdering illegal invaders, Walker could have implemented a State of Emergency and mobilized the full assets at his disposal to make Wisconsin a very, unforgiving state to work in for illegal invaders. Target the Chamber of Amnesty members that employ the illegals! Target landlords that give housing to illegals! Make the illegal invaders Self-Deport!
Remember, Governor Walker is sworn to defend and protect the citizens of Wisconsin, but he refuses to do so!
Here's a great Green Beret solution to remove illegal invaders from a state overrun with illegal invaders, like Wisconsin is now:
