The World Health Organisation’s cancer agency has declared that one of the UK’s most widely used weedkillers is “probably carcinogenic to humans”.
Amateur gardeners and professional farmers have been urged to “think very carefully” about using the popular herbicide Roundup, which contains glyphosate.
A summary of the International Agency for Research on Cancer's (IARC) report, published in The Lancet Oncology, said that the herbicide had been detected “in air during spraying, in water, and in food”.It had also been detected “in the blood and urine of agricultural workers, indicating absorption”.
...The IARC's report said that its use has increased sharply with the development of genetically modified glyphosate-resistant crop varieties.

Roundup is good stuff.
Killed the hell out of unwanted grass in the walkway.
Not as quick as the jug said it would.. but the grass is sure enough dead.
But I don’t want to eat it. Hard to avoid GMO foods.
GMO concerns is such a first world problem.
What, man is tinkering with “pristine” nature AGAIN? What is this madness to subvert and thwart the natural inclination of unwanted plants to continue to sprout in unexpected places?
Perhaps we should just lie back and let the natural growth overtake us all. Except the favored few, of course.

I’m still waiting for all those bad things to happen to me from when, as a kid in the 1950s and 60s, used to walk behind the truck spraying DDT.
Our county had a plane that would fly at treetop levels and spray DDT. When we’d hear the plane coming, we’d run to get under its path so we could get “rained” on.
DDT was the standard treatment for lice on human’s. Or was. It is safe to use around human’s and that was it’s great value. It still could irradiate malaria if it was used indoors.
...This news comes only one month after it was found that glyphosate, contained in Monsanto’s Roundup, is contaminating the groundwater in the areas in which it is used.
There are groups that want to kill off over 80% of the population so you wonder which chemicals they are pushing.
It’s a first world problem because that’s where Round up ready crops are grown. I have to feed a family of eight a very tight budget. It would be nice if I could afford to avoid the relatively recent addition of food that’s been sprayed with herbicide, but I can’t afford it. And I do know what it’s like to go to bed at night knowing there isn’t enough food in the house to get through the next day while payday is a few days away, so we aren’t your typical “first world snobs” when it comes to feeding our children. Both my husband and I have skipped meals so our kids could eat when low on food. We aren’t willing to go on welfare and we trust in God to provide. Mercifully, he has blessed us unexpectedly in His perfect timing.
I don’t see why it’s mocked by conservatives to want to avoid eating food that has been sprayed with round up. It’s only been widely done in the past decade or so. I know several farmers who died fairly young from cancer, their wives have all stated it’s from frequently handling the chemicals needed for crops. I know another who picked up a rusty old can and sniffed it to see what it was-he had an instant heart attack-thankfully his brother was with him, doc said it was from inhaling that pesticide.
I once asked an organic dairy farmer why he chose organic, and he said it’s because he wanted to avoid the chemicals himself after seeing his dad and uncles deal with health problems most likely caused by farm chemicals.

Roundup is a ripoff - plain old white vinegar diluted 50/50 with water works fine.
The regime with its roots in the Weather Underground that want to kill 25,000,000 having trouble doing so, they have changed tactics. Rather than kill people outright, just enable the conditions for 25,000,000 less people... the rest will follow.
There would be less dead thru-out the world with DDT being used against malaria; there would be less dead if not for abortion, euthanasia; lighter cars; on and on...
3..2..1...I hear the class action lawyers gearing up.....they made a killing on tobacco just think what they’ll do to Monsanto...and all those poor, hard working illegals will probably be getting multi millions in reparations...
