Ted Cruz came to New Hampshire, but unlike other candidates who talked in Bushian generalities, he talked about his positions on the issues.
He won applause when he called for a flat tax and abolishing the Internal Revenue Service, and he said the Affordable Care Act and Common Core curriculum standards should be repealed.
He also said he wanted taxes simple enough so they could be done on a postcard. Do you hear other candidates talking this way? I don't. I don't think I've heard a single candidate call for abolishing the IRS, have you?
Senator Cruz has spoken at length about these issues in the past, and unlike other candidates, whose views have "evolved," "grown," or "mutated" right before running for president, Cruz has actually held these positions for greater than two years, even before he considered running for president.
With regard to the ethanol mandate, which makes both gasoline and food much more expensive, Cruz says he is flatly against it. When asked about Scott Walker's view, which is that Walker is
(a) for it in Iowa,
(b) against it in Wisconsin,
(c) and unclear on his views for ethanol in the other 48 states,
Cruz refused to attack his rival.
Cruz also said he didn't want any limits on campaign donations. The current system already has so many holes in it – for example, manpower donations by unions aren't counted as "donations," and slanted coverage by the liberal media is also not counted as donations – that it makes sense to allow everyone to get as involved as he or she wishes. The wealthy can already spend a lot to push their agenda with indirect spending to PACs; we might as well open up the system entirely, have full disclosure of donations,

Flat tax hasn’t worked out in Pennsylvania, which (under Republican leadership, no less) has come up with a bazillion other taxes and fees to deal with the situation.
Simple enough to do on a postcard might be feasible for someone whose only income is from wages, interest, dividends and capital gains. Unless the government is going to trust a single number for revenue and a single number for costs, it becomes absurd for the self-employed.
Personally, I’d favor repealing the 16th Amendment and replacing the income tax completely with a VAT. (But no way in hell would I support introducing a VAT with the 16th Amendment still in place.)
Well, I will be perfectly honest, that I’ve had my doubts about him, but everyone has their pet issue...and mine are taxes and the IRS.
Therefore, unless I hear the same thing out of Walker and others, Cruz has my support starting today.

Id think that California might be the place to begin the process of Liquidating the IRS,..but that’s just my subjective personal take on the matter...
The fact that no other candidate will vocalize support for this is simply stunning.

I guess Ted Cruz recognizes who is on the right side of most issues and that it will be impossible to be a party of one.
The man is better than Reagan.

Cruz is the only candidate with the courage to eliminate the IRS he says he will do it every time he speaks, if other candidates begin to say the same, they only do so for political expediency, they don’t mean it.
Cruz says what he means and will do what he says...CRUZ 2016!
The income tax and the Internal Revenue has resulted in a frightening US$1 TRILLION per year in compliance and economic opportunity costs in 2014 according to the Tax Foundation.
Now you know my tagline. Once we complete the full transition to FairTax to replace the income tax, American residents and businesses will enjoy over US$900 BILLION per year freed up for more productive purposes. That type of economic stimulus would send our economy through the roof in no time flat and would even substantially cut the unemployment rate, too.

They obviously want Bush, but they’ll settle for Walker if he joins their club. I think he will, but he knows he’s not Ivy League and that they’ll look down on him.
The proof that ANY of these GOP candidates have struck a backroom deal is that they end up with a similar cabinet to what Bush would have appointed.
Hillary, of course, in in line because it’s her turn. A fatal mistake in her case, isn’t a mistake like cheating, lying, stealing, etc. For Hillary, a fatal mistake is exactly that. A plane crash, an automobile accident, a heart attack. She could be caught robbing a bank, and the media will swear she thought the gun was a key to her safe deposit box.
Red meat. It’ll never happen, but if he adds a few more agencies to his list he’ll definitely get my vote.
All this mamby pamby moderate republican hogwarsh will not turn the tide from liberalism. We need staunch conservative/constitutionalism to begin to take back this country.
Our country is all but lost unless conservatism returns.
We have seen (under pub and dem leadership) a monumental transfer of wealth not seen on the planet...ever. Wealth shift from the middle class American to communist Chinese and Indians.
We need manufacturing back in a big way. America will never dig ourselves out of this hole unless Americans are put back to work, we begin creating, exporting, spending. Place a 5 year moratorium on all legal immigration and shut down these borders.
These traitors up in D.C. are complicit in the destruction of our country.
IRS has become so corrupted that calls for eliminating it are growing. And Eric Holder is doing nothing, NOTHING about it.
Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments
