Man held in sexual assault of 10-year-old boy in East Oakland

A suspect was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy in East Oakland, authorities said Thursday.

Miguel Baraja, 48, was arrested Tuesday in Fremont and is being held without bail at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin in connection with the January attack. Alameda County prosecutors have charged him with intercourse or sodomy with a child.
