In the 19th Knesset the Likud had only 20 seats. Now they have 30.

If they hold this - a +10 seat pickup is astonishing.

None of the pre-election polls so much as hinted at it.

Arutz Sheva: 95% in Likud still maintains a six seat edge.

All the pre-election polls gave Zionist Union a 4-5 seat win!

Its like Alice in Wonderland.

Barry and his minions tried to replicate the "dope and chains" fraud over in Israel and it looks like it had the opposite effect.

Is he going to apologize for interfering in the internal affairs of Israel?

The net five is the pick up of the Right bloc group. Likud proper had only around 18 seats before. In 2013, Likud was on one list with Yisrael Baytaynu.

The choice was painful resistance or even more painful surrender, and the sensible voters have chosen to resist. Time to pray for all involved. These next months will be a hard test.

Tomorrow

Josh Earnest: No, Netanyahu’s reelection is not in anyway a repudiation of Obama’s vision for the Middle East. No he never had people in there working against the Likud? V15? No We’ve never heard of them! NO YOU CAN’T HAVE OUR SERVERS! *Head explodes*

People apparently lied to the exit pollsters upon leaving the polls.

Israel’s leftist media is having egg all over its collective face.

Nothing worked out the way they predicted!

It will be extremely difficult for Israel until a genuine pro-Israeli American president is elected. I could name many possibles here, including GOPers who would not fit that description.

It wasn’t close to begin with.

This is better than November 2014.

Another loss for the Obama Machine.

Yep.

I’ve been fearful that the Likud additional seats were just shifted from Right parties. It is much more than that!

Because of how the process works, it’s very likely Likud will get a couple extra seats aside from tonight’s raw totals.

Another loss for the Obama Machine.

Democrats don't care about electoral results unless they gain power. Xero will ignore this outcome and pretend that the Palestinians didn't vote and were underrepresented.

Don’t forget the soldiers’ vote - the Likud may well net another seat or two.

for sure ,,, there are a lot more people who did not vote for Likud than voted for it... therefore according to Zerobama’s math, Likud and Netanyahu is totally illegitimate.

Likud Leads with 30 Seats After 99% of Ballots Counted

As counting of votes continues in the elections for the 20th Knesset, the Likud party may be headed for an even bigger victory than exit polls originally predicted.

As of 4:25 a.m. (Israel time), 99.5% of the ballots have been counted and the Likud is leading the pact with 30 seats. The “Zionist Union” of Labor and Hatnua has 24 seats.

The Joint Arab List has 13 seats, followed by Yesh Atid with 11 seats and Moshe Kahlon’s Kulanu with ten.

The Jewish Home has eight seats, the haredi parties Shas and United Torah Judaism each have seven seats, Yisrael Beytenu has six and Meretz closes out the list with four seats.

Despite earlier indications that it may have passed the threshold, it appears as though Eli Yishai’s Yachad party will be left out of the Knesset.

Netanyahu addressed supporters of the Likud earlier Tuesday night, saying the results were a “great victory” for the nationalist camp in Israel.

“Against all odds, we have achieved a great victory for the Likud. We have achieved a great victory for the Likud-led nationalist camp and our people,” he said.

“I am proud of the people of Israel who, at the moment of truth, knew how to separate between the important and the secondary issues and focus on the important ones,” said Netanyahu, who mentioned issues such as “real security, a responsible economy, as well as social welfare. These are the things that are important to each family. Every father and mother, every young couple , every soldier, every citizen. And all Israeli citizens, Jews and non-Jews alike. All of you are important, and all of you are important to me.”
