The returns on voting from ballot boxes indicate that the Likud has significantly extended its lead over Zionist Union.
According to Israel Radio, officials have counted the votes of 25 percent of booths across the country. The results indicate that the Likud wins 32 Knesset seats while Zionist Union garners 25 seats.
Yesh Atid is the third-largest party with 11 seats, Moshe Kahlon's Kulanu faction wins 10 seats, the Arab List nosedives to nine seats, the Sephardi ultra-Orthodox Shas movement wins eight seats, Naftali Bennett's Bayit Yehudi dips further to seven seats, while Yisrael Beytenu, which has only mustered five seats, climbs to seven.
United Torah Judaism wins six seats while Meretz rounds out the list with five seats.

Right wing party Yachad is still below the 3.25% threshold - they are at 3.03% now. If they can make the threshold, it will expand the right’s win further.

I believe it’s more like half the votes counted now. 2.4 million votes tallied already.
There are no hanging chads in Israel.
This is a devastating blow to the Israeli Left.
The dimensions of the Likud victory are truly epic.
Frankly, I think what we see here is Obama’s entire effort to interfere in the Israeli election, as well as their unrelenting and vicious attacks against Bibi over the last 2 months has backfired completely!
I read in the last few days that Likud operatives were calling the president “Hussein Obama” in phone calls and rally signs. There was real anger here!
I hope this holds. No, I hope it increases.

I’m just glad the Israel election wasn’t tilted by attempts at foreign interference. In fact, if this trend holds, it looks like the attempts backfired.

They need to get 3.5% to enter the Knesset.
