Likewise “La Boheme”. When the first Mimi, who was a robust Brünnhilde type, sang that she was wasting away from consumption, the audience broke up laughing.

#7 – Bruce Willis: “Respect Yourself”

”Moonlighting” was a huge hit on TV and created a career for Willis. He took to the studio for a hit or two during this period. This is the old Staples Singers hit from the Seventies. Note that Willis still had his hair back then.

Yes!

I sing better when I am not hauling a lot of extra cargo around.

And I am a “Dramatic”.

Unfortunately, in my 60’s, I look the part.

Too much junk in the trunk can be a problem with age.

Yeah...I know.

But I am back to taking 3-4 mile walks every morning again, now that my ankle has healed.

I tried a 3-day juice fast that I read about here at FR. I dropped 5 pounds in 3 days. Five more and I'll be where the doctor said I'm supposed to be.

The first 20 pounds were easy, and I lost those two years ago. The last 10 have been a trial.

#51 – Cutting Crew: “Died in Your Arms”

These guys came from the UK, had a few hits and then disappeared, like so many other acts. But this one is unforgettable with a fine video to accompany it.

#40 – Madonna: “Open Your Heart”

She is an embarrassment today, but back in the Eighties she was one of the definitive acts of the era. She could also spin a good tune, like this one. The boy who dances with her at the end played the child boss of a gang of drug dealers in a forgettable action movie of the era.
