Via National Journal and McConnell Puts Democrats in a Box (the title here alone is a clue that McConnells people have planted this story):
Sen. Mitch McConnell has caught Democrats between a rock and an abortion rider.
After weeks of Democrats questioning his unwillingness to schedule the nomination of Loretta Lynch to be attorney general, the Senate majority leader announced at a press conference Tuesday that the Senate will vote to confirm her next week. Theres just one catch: Members will have to get past legislation that includes a controversial abortion rider first.
First and foremost, given the answers provided by Loretta Lynch during her confirmation hearing, it is a travesty that she was voted out of committee. She is clearly not a big fan of the rule of law or the rights of Americans in general rather that enhanced rights for every racial/ethnic/sexual minority with an axe to grind. Every day she is not confirmed is a day that America is safer. That her vote should even be offered as a concession is just offensive.
There is precious little evidence that this drama, the childrens matinee at Failure Theater, is anything more than McConnell trying to show conservatives how super tough he is. If McConnell was really going to use the Lynch nomination as a bargaining chip he should have used it when it mattered: on the DHS bill. But he didnt. He forfeited a chance to refuse to fund Obamas amnesty, a position that had wide national support and he could have done so by inflicting a little temporary pain on a very unpopular and superfluous agency headquarters.
In fact, the whole story smells like something cooked up by Reid and McConnell to give McConnell a little breathing room to further betray conservatives:

What happened? Did a conservative member of the caucus offend you? Because it's clear those are the only people you actually will fight against.
And if you pull my leg, it plays jiggle bells.
FUMM
Perhaps Dingy Harry was correct in that senate budgets don’t matter, as long as McConnell continues to act like a democrat, this is true.
Look like this guy?:
I don’t know him...is he some sort of politician? :)
No, just a prostitute....VERY high priced.
Dear Laz,
You say “we’re not stupid” yet I won by a landslide against a weak opponent. How do you explain that?
love,
Mitch
Fool me once, shame on you .....
We know how hard he is fighting, we just wish he would start fighting the liberals and Democrats instead of conservative Republicans!
And Lucy will hold the football really, really still this time.
“Someone from the White House will deliver a bribe to Mitch and hell give in.”
Either a bribe or use blackmail material.

All true. She should have been Borked long ago. She’s as bad as Holder.
You may be right. I don’t know if it’s blackmail or bribery. Something or someone has induced them to sell out the voters who elected them.
no, rather once again he will assume the pussiton. sorry...about the typo.

Miotch is Barry’s Lil biotch.
“Ill bet you already have lined up 16 Pubbies to vote for Lynch to add to all the Dems so you can push her across the finish line.”
1. McCain
2. Murkowski
3. Graham
4. Corker
5. Cornyn
6. Ayotte

Please add to the list. After she passes the senate, we can go back and see how accurate we’ were.
