For those who know, no explanation is necessary.

For those who know, no explanation is necessary.Yep, and my wife and I cried knowing the truth when we heard that info this AM on Fox. I even prayed that that angel come to our house and stay for a little while with our two children, age 4 and 2. :) I wish we knew her name....the angel that is. They walk amongst us and sing God's glory, as should we. Amen.

Could she have been alive long enough to yell help?
To: Ben Mugged
I hope the child eventually realizes that help came from God, the God of the Bible not the polygamist ‘god’ of a certain ‘gentleman’ who bore the last name Smith. His last know place of residence being the ‘Lake of Fire’.
To: Robert DeLong
Yes. But it makes the story much better if we ignore that and assume it was angels.

From what I understand, the Mother was killed when the Accident happened. I believe she had been dead for hours.
If I am mistaken, perhaps another FReeper can clarify.
But hey, it makes a good story.

On a news report by a Salt Lake City channel last night: police said the mother appeared to have died at the moment of impact.
The car was in the river for about 13 hrs until a fisherman saw it and called police.

could she have been alive long enough to yell for help? There are those who believe that the spirit stays around for awhile after the body dies. Those who believe that would say it could be that her spirit stayed there until help came for her child.

"Could she have been alive long enough to yell help?" Ever spend any time as a first responder to accident/homicide scenes? In many cases there is no room for doubt that some victims died instantly, if you know what I mean. The impression I get from these particular first responder is, yeah, that was the case here.

The baby saved and is doing better. That all the officers heard the voice is most uncommon. Reminds of a story on the teevee show, “One Step Beyond”, the episode ‘Tidal Wave’ A deaf man heard the whisper a helpless woman which saved her from the approaching tsunami Do do do do do do...strange, unexplained. Thank you, Jesus.
