The Obama administration’s Operation Choke Point program targets gun and ammunition dealers and tries to make life “miserable” for businesses that it doesn’t like, a payment processor told a Choke Point victim in jarring new audio.

Operation Choke Point is a program by which the Department of Justice works with other administration agencies, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, to force banks to shut down accounts of businesses that it objects to. The program purports to fight fraudulent businesses, but has instead targeted many gun and ammunition dealers and other lawful businesses.

Why, we would never intentionally try to put someone out of business. A simple misunderstanding is all.

You know....I have some old WWII ammo that I’d thought about DeWatting and had even done some of the ones where I thought the primers were a little bulged or just looked like possible trouble.

But after doing that and looking at the insides and shooting a bunch of empty cases and inspecting the primers AND regarding what’s going on now with Obama and ATF...I’m gonna keep the rest in play.

This is just dumb. Some banks with a liberal bent might stop doing business with gun dealers, but others will happily pick up their business.

Local banks in red states won't even consider this because they know that they would lose half of their business from gun owners, conservatives and veterans overnight.

Planned Parenthood is a private corporation.

What prevents a Tea Party Prez from similarly disliking IT..?

And what if he, too, has a phone, has a pen...?

Well, if you and I pool our money I’m sure we could open the “Second Amendment Bank of the U.S.”. I’ve still got a couple of dollars left. :>} Or maybe the “Second Amendment Credit Union.”

Yep, I’m an “Operation Choke Point” victim myself.

Pointing out the illegality of this method of “going after” lawful businesses

is of no consequence to most leftists.

They are of the opinion
“I don’t care how they do it if it’s the right thing to do.”

Sure you could do that - but they regulate the electronic transfer of that money,

and simply disallow the institutions in charge of the transfer from doing business with you.

That’s what they went after with other businesses - the ACH system.

This business of putting pressure on banks to try and get them to refuse business will not work. Oh sure, it will work with places like Bank of America and other leftist outfits, but it will otherwise fail beyond a mere scare tactic.

This is far different than banks dealing the purveyors of Marijuana. There is no federal recognition of marijuana as being anything other than a schedule one drug. Guns and gun ownership is a matter of the 2nd Amendment enshrined in the Bill of Rights a far, far different matter altogether.

So, Obama can bang his empty barrel all he wants. Sure, he'll scare some, but in the end nothing much will change... except maybe the price of ammo.

Good idea! If we could get the N.R.A. and other groups to help I think this might work maybe even go public and trade on the stock market like Lending Club. .I'm sure the Government would have regulators all over this but just seeing the libs lose their little old minds would be glorious

The 10th Amendment enshrined in the Bill of Rights reiterates that the federal government has no authority to regulate the intrastate growing, selling, buying, or using of marijuana.

...” seeing the libs lose their little old minds would be glorious “. Now you’re pushing it. You’re assuming they have minds to lose.

What a wonderful president we have- instead of fighting the enemy, he’s busy right here at home fighting hard working Americans every step of the way- what a class act he is- SARCASM!

GunBroker. Isn’t that one of those on line sellers of weapons without background checks? I thought I heard they had some old B-52’s fully loaded with nukes for sale no questions asked. LOL! I’m old enough to remember ads for WW II surplus guns shipped to your house by the post office for like $19.95 in the back of Popular Mechanics. Guess that pretty closely dates me doesn’t it. :>}

Hey now. It’s part of his successful economic recovery program that’s working so well. Why, I’d venture to guess that there isn’t a single segment of the economy that isn’t better off today than it was 6 and a half years ago. LOL! Do I need a “sarc” on this?
