CJ Pearsons viral video last weekend in which he criticized President Obama provoked a real reaction from viewers all 1.4 million of them.
But the 12-year-old middle schooler apparently provoked a reaction from Facebook, too. They suspended his account.

Makes sense to me - you have to be 18.
13.
everyone should dump their facebook page. I never had one and I can’t see the reason to have one. The gestapo would have loved facebook.
You have to be be this tall to criticized the government.
he must be racist
Maybe we should dump our Facebook pages. two can play the censorship game.
Facebook is racist.
I’m well over 18 years old. I wonder why they haven’t suspended my account. I slam Barry all the time, every day. I guess they must be afraid of me.
Marketing online to kids 12 and under is heavily regulated by the Federal Trade Commission under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. That’s why Facebook sets the minimum age to 13.
Once it became apparent the kid had lied to get the account under that age, there really was no choice but to pull the account.
There must be thousands upon thousands of kids his age or younger that have personal facebook pages too.
This is the opportunity for this kid's parent(s) to re-post his content through their own account, and see what happens.
So then it's entirely true they yanked his account because of his comments about Bammy. He had an open and active account before his comments and it wasn't until his comments that FB shut him down.
Quit being irrational. The kid lied. As soon as they found out he was under 13, they applied their uniform policy of canceling the account in order to avoid dealing with the stringent requirements of the nanny state imposed by COPPA as enforced by the FTC.
Not a conspiracy. Take off the tinfoil hat and step away from the keyboard. Then read up on COPPA requirements so you don’t sound ignorant when whining about this issue.
So that’s how I get to close my FB account? .
I’m not being irrational I don’t think it’s a conspiracy. Only a dumbass can’t figure this out.
It’s quite easy to see the kid had an account and it only got deleted once someone complained. Had the kid not spoke out about Bammy he’d still have his account regardless of his age.
Spin it as you like but if the kid had not complained about Obama he would still have a FB account.
But when a child points out that The Emperor has no clothes, look out...
He’s still on FB.
He was on Fox & Friends over the weekend - what a nice-looking, well-spoken young man (couldn’t believe he was only 12!). They said he’s still on youtube and has had tons of hits (over a million IIRC). They said both his parents are Dems, not sure how he got to be a conservative, but he said he believed in limited government, etc., etc.
“Spin it as you like but if the kid had not complained about Obama he would still have a FB account.”
****
The kid could have done anything to get noticed. A viral dance video, a funny meme pic, etc. Once he let the cat out of the bag about his age, he forced FB’s hand on the issue.
Obama had nothing to do with it. The video itself was a MacGuffin.
