Now I wonder if this happened in response to Net Neutrality?

Just a little pesky vandalism by the folks. No big deal.

Whatever you do Don’t Cut DHS because of their support of illegals
You might lose your internet, or ISIS may attack, or your porno-scan at the airport could be slowed down. Never, ever cut their funding or question them!
Thanks to George Bush for creating this Orwellian monster outside of control of Congress and the American electorate.

One cable brought down the state? Good grief.
And this Admin is bringing in terrorists, just a perfect scenario for destruction.

Attempted copper theft probably.
Most likely by illegal aliens.

They’re just now thinking of this? Didn’t the bad guys used to cut telegraph cables before they robbed the train? All the old westerns wouldn’t lie to me, would they?

I accidently drilled a guy wire anchor through a big phone cable once, knocked out phones a hundred miles away.
I was doing contract work for a cable tv company and their insurance wound up paying for the damages.

Story built for sensationalism. It hit northern Phoenix and Flagstaff and the tiny towns around there. Somebody cut a fiber cable that had no backup because there’s just not that many people on it.

That this one “slice” took out so much communications is pathetic. All the eggs in one basket mentality. Here in Flagstaff, we merchants couldn’t process bank cards, had no internet or land lines for most of the day. The banks couldn’t function either.
