(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Best Applause Line: “We need a leader who will stand with Israel,” said the governor of Wisconsin.

Crickets: Describing, early in his remarks, his longstanding interest in the founding fathers.

Red Meat: Mr. Walker spoke at length about his record as governor and made broad references to foreign policy touchstones like Israel, Iran and the fight against Islamic terrorism.

Toughest Question: From a heckler, who shouted about workers’ rights. But Mr. Walker turned it to his advantage, joking that protesters had followed him from Wisconsin.

Entrance Song: “Coming Home,” by Avenged Sevenfold, a heavy metal band out of Southern California.

Mood in the Room: Intrigued and mostly appreciative. Mr. Walker’s performance at the Iowa Freedom Summit in late January catapulted him to prominence in the early stages of the Republican race. Many people at CPAC wanted to see if he could deliver again....

It was exactly what you do in context. You are angling to be President of the United States. You better be “full of yourself”. “Well, I’ve got no real-world experience that could possibly prepare me for handling ISIS, but I think if I worked really hard, I might one day be considered passably good at it”.

I want Ted Cruz on the Supreme Court. I want him taking over for that harpy Ginsberg.

I think he would do better for forty years in the SCOTUS than eight years in the White House.

Santorum never had the slightest chance. For most people he comes across as a little odd. Outside a sect within the Christian community, nobody was really into him. And he couldn’t even win reelection, so how could he have ever won nationally?
It makes no sense.

God help us if we’re going to pounce on every single sentence out of Governor Walker’s mouth. All the stupid things Democrats say are just expected so we pass over them.

But if a promising Republican conservative says anything, whether in jest or not, the whole damn world comes down on him. Getting really old.

Well. Perhaps you should run for president yourself. I doubt many can meet your lofty and august bar of approval. Walker has achieved a record no governor in the entire history of this country can claim. And he did it under awful circumstances - perhaps even evil circumstances and he came out a winner and you cavalierly wave your hand and proclaim he is not ready for prime time. What a boob.

He was earlier praised for not using a teleprompter. THIS is why people use teleprompters. Cringeworthy. Of course, he didn’t say we had 58 states. But then again, the media actually REPORTS our gaffes, as the NY Slimes does here.

He shut down funding for Planned Parenthood in his state.

He had idiot protesters $hitting and Pi$$ing in the state house.

He had his wife and kids verbally assaulted at his home.

He had the entire Democrat Caucus of his state run and hide in an attempt to stop him.

He took on the state unions and won.

He took on three elections in four years with every dollar the entire union establishment could find nationwide to beat him and each time he won by a higher margin.

Walker is a winner. Wisconsin is a very important state, because it represents White Union America. Blue Collar Reagan Democrats. If he can win Wisconsin, he wins Ohio & Iowa for sure. He puts Pennsylvania in play.

Walker is a winner. He is very likely to beat whomever the Democrats put up. That is why they hate him so.

The problem I have with Cruz is he will take votes away from Walker

The ticket needs to be Walker-Cruz or Cruz-Walker. They should work to that end and make quick work of the pretenders. Time would seem to be short.

When will Walker clarify his position on amnesty? Dealing with Unions is good however supporting “immigration reform” is a deal breaker.

Walker might, but your rabid support of him is rapidly convincing me that you are a shill for Walker, and he shouldn’t get my vote.

Because the 'Rats have so many outlets to point out when we say something stupid. They have the all the alphabet networks, and most of the newspapers.

We have to be perfect. We can't go spouting off like Joe (Stand up Chuck!) Biden. We can't be caught comparing Occupy Wall Street hippies with Muslims that want to cut off our heads.

Beadcounter said it correct. Scott Walker is battle hardened. Do you recall the violent protests and takeovers of government buildings in Wisconsin by union thugs? Do you remember how much outside union and democrat money came into Wisconsin?

Do you know any governor who faced 2 recall elections in a 4 year period? Do you know of any governors who cut government union benefits and forced them to carry their own weight for healthcare?

Let’s face the reality, Walker is no Reagan with the smoothness of speech one learns only after decades in acting. But Walker seems to be the real deal because you get what you see. After 3 hard fought elections, the democRATS have dug up no skeletons in Walker’s closet.

Finally who is the MSM attacking most? Walker! Nuff said.

Not apropos of Walker, 2nd -- although he's mentioned here -- just thought this was a good place to post this great cartoon from several months ago, predicting the incredible TEAM the Republicans could put together for 2016. Perhaps it IS time to focus on TEAM. This would be a great one.
