Crickets: Describing, early in his remarks, his longstanding interest in the founding fathers.
Red Meat: Mr. Walker spoke at length about his record as governor and made broad references to foreign policy touchstones like Israel, Iran and the fight against Islamic terrorism.
Toughest Question: From a heckler, who shouted about workers’ rights. But Mr. Walker turned it to his advantage, joking that protesters had followed him from Wisconsin.

Mood in the Room: Intrigued and mostly appreciative. Mr. Walker’s performance at the Iowa Freedom Summit in late January catapulted him to prominence in the early stages of the Republican race. Many people at CPAC wanted to see if he could deliver again....

Oh Lord. He is the only one ready for the Presidency. The rest are pathetic at best. So sick and tired of the Walker bashing....however, he is used to it after 3 years of liberal bashing. I guess you are just keeping it going. He is Ronald Reagan of our generation....both 2 term Governor, fought liberals, fought conservative haters....fought unions. fought everyone. He is 100 percent correct in his assessment.

I get the sentiment however. He’s been dealing with opposition a long time. It’s just that all opposition isn’t the same.
And a lot of people here really do not understand muslims at all. Even after all this time they do not get them.

Walker comes across as way to full of himself
As he should from taking criticism from all the liberals, RINOs, and conservatives at the same time. What a bunch of idiots. You guys are going to end up giving us Bush due to your extreme stupidity. You caused Romney in 2012 when you bashed Santorum all day and night and now you want to do the same with Walker....What a bunch of fools. Oh well......your loss. It is just a shame your bring the rest of us down.

Ted Cruz is ready
Ready for what? Another speech? Sorry I know he is loved around here but after that disastrous vote he gave yesterday....he is not ready. I think him MIGHT end up having more time that Obama in experience but it is going to be close if he were to become President.

Oh my God. Really? The hell he went through the last 3 years and STILL is able to get results. He is our miracle. He doesn’t give stupid speeches and go back and write dumb bills. No he actually gets bills good for the state and country.....PASSED with opposition too.....just like Reagan did. I swear I must be the only sane one around here.
I told you it was a procedural vote, not the real vote.
I don’t give a damn. It was a vote towards approval of the Homeland Security without immigration stuff attached. It was weak and despicable. He should have voted no....only 2 patriots voted no.

Don’t worry too much about critics of Scott, I mean, just like he joked to that heckler, it’s sort of something that he is use to. He’s upset the Unions, etc. The man is the real thing, I don’t know if I agree with everything he stands for but he is a Conservative who as I have heard earlier “has had everything thrown at him but the kitchen sink”, and solid accomplishments.
I like Cruz too. One can’t get too tied into some of the dialogue here and it gets heated. I like them both, I like Jindal and Perry as well. Might be able to vote for a few others. I really think some are jealous at how well he is doing and I don’t mean that personally towards anyone.

The problem I have with Cruz is he will take votes away from Walker who really is in the position to not only win the nomination but win the General. Cruz is a nice guy and maybe VP but he is too inexperienced and voters won’t make the mistake of having a one-term Senator again at least for a decade or two. Walker and Cruz are young so Walker can do the first 8 and Cruz will have enough time to do the next 8....that would be 16 years of perfect Presidency years. Also if Cruz was VP, Walker could teach him about executive ins and outs and how to get things done. Cruz is wonderful at policy but getting things passed is what Walker and teach him.
There you go breaking President Reagan’s “11th Commandment” again. You know, the one you’re always going on about when someone criticizes Gov. Scott Walker?
Look. The protesters DID terrorize him at work and home. Literally. He proved his is tough.
