They have to. Amazon had lost money for eleven straight quarters going into the 2014 holiday season. At some point, their investors had to start wanting their money back.
So now I have a choice — continue to patronize a hotbed of liberalism or go to the mall and run the risk of being shot or blown up. Wonderful choice isn't it?

Yep....sure is.....I’ve spent thousands and thousands there over the years. But I hate that Jay Carney so much I just ended my Prime and deleted my credit card information as a payment method.
IF I ever use them again, I guess it will have to be a “must have” and something I cannot get locally. Even then, I’ll have to buy a card at Kroger to redeem online and use. I won’t ever let them have my credit information again, and I’ll try to go cold turkey with using them to.

The only real bookstore left around here is Barnes and Noble. Their selection is particularly left-wing and their history section sucks. Unless you think the history of transgendered minorities is important.

I did see something about Amazon and Google squaring up to compete, and AWS is promisingly profitable, but it’s just hit 10% of their business if that is what you are talking about.
