Federal prosecutors on Monday argued that her bond should be revoked, alleging she had participated in a ghost payrolling scheme at a private company in Indiana after her money laundering conviction. She has not been charged based on the ghost payrolling allegations, but the judge ruled there was probable cause for such a case in Indiana.

U.S. District Judge Sue Myerscough rejected the argument by Wright’s attorney that she had performed the work for the Indiana company and ordered her taken into custody.

Wright removed her earrings, handed them to her attorney and left the courtroom in handcuffs.

A big Democrat fraud scandal story that Obama had his media bury, named Wright’s daughter in another fraud scandal. The original Sun-Times news article can no longer be found.

and one of those charged is Rev. Jeremiah Wrights daughter. Some of the others charged have ties to Obama. Some have already pled guilty. The stolen money was used to buy Mercedes Benz, vacation homes, and other personal luxuries. The embezzled monies were from Federal taxpayer grants meant to help AIDS patients and the poor. Not seeing a lot of love for the poor and AIDS victims from these dims.

More than one of the defendants has direct ties to President Barack Obama. The Sun Times details the charges.

Thirteen people have been charged so far, six who have pleaded guilty.

They allegedly stole from AIDS charities and job training programs among other funds of cash meant to help the poor and needy.

The overall bigger fraud story is being buried by MSM.

“The alleged ghost-payrolling overlapped with Wright’s weeklong trial in Springfield in early March 2014. That trial ended with her being found guilty of money-laundering, lying to federal investigators and lying to a grand jury after being involved in a $1.25 million state grant-fraud scheme orchestrated by former Country Club Hills police Chief Regina Evans.

With backing from state Sen. Donne Trotter, D-Chicago, and former Rep. Marlow Colvin, D-Chicago, Evans and her husband, Ronald, secured a state job-training grant designed to help minorities learn the construction trade. But state officials and federal prosecutors have said that about $900,000 of that wound up going directly into the Evanses’ pockets, with virtually none of the money going toward its intended use.

Both Evans and her husband admitted misspending state funds to renovate their Country Club Hills home, buy furniture and pay down loans on a former Chicago home and the historic but dilapidated Regal Theater, for which the couple took out a $2 million loan they couldn’t repay. That’s where the job-training was to be done.

Wright, a childhood friend of Regina Evans, is accused of pocketing as much as $11,000 of the misspent state money, using it partly to pay a car loan, and lying to federal authorities and a grand jury when asked about the money.”
