President Barack Obama has the support of at least one commentator when it comes to his command of the U.S. military these days.
Fox News and The Hill commentator Juan Williams lauded the commander-in-chief on Friday’s episode of the cable network’s “The Five,” much to the surprise of the panel’s four other hosts.
“I think he does, are you kidding?” Williams said. “When it comes to our military, I don’t think there’s any president who’s expressed himself better than President Obama in terms of support of our military.”
Williams was responding to a statement by fill-in host and actress Stacey Dash, who claimed that Obama had failed to unite the country during his six years in office. Upon hearing his comments, she quickly replied, “Are you kidding?” and “You couldn’t be more wrong” while whipping her head in disbelief.
Fill-in commentator Jesse Watters and Kimberly Guilfoyle’s comments also echoed Dash’s in tone. It was ultimately up to funny man Greg Gutfeld to bring some decorum back to the table, comparing Obama to a high school gym teacher “with athletes he favors.”
(Sadly, the show’s resident liberal Bob Beckel had the day off, as his reaction would have likely been priceless.)
Williams may applaud Obama’s support for the armed forces, but the love isn’t mutual. A poll commissioned by The Military Times last summer found that just 15 percent of active duty troops approve of their commander-in-chief – a record low for his tenure.

I’m amazed that someone as clueless as Juan Williams gets a substantial paycheck from FOX.
I’ll be fair and say the Republican Party didn’t exactly offer appealing alternatives (President McCain?!? Boggles the mind), but I agree. Too many people fell for hope and change without bothering to ask what that entailed.

The reason that people at other parties are having a better time is because he’s not there. He brings a bad time with him where ever he goes, I mean, just imagine having Juan Williams at your New Year’s Eve party.
The only problem is that Juan is too dumb to figure this out himself.

I can’t find a different thread where the following belongs, so will put it here - because of the military subject.
Sat. night I attended a fantastic event at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, Calif. It was a Gala saluting Viet Nam Vets. Many people were there, including vets from all wars.
There is a packing for the troops organization in Simi that hosted the event. Last year I was at the Gala saluting Korean vets. Understand the year before they saluted WWII vets.
‘For The Troops’ was founded by a woman, Paula, who was inspired by her husband to do this after his relating tales such as not brushing teeth for a year(!) while in the Korean War!
We are in hopes of having made a huge profit last night.
In order for this 501 C(3) organization - ‘For The Troops,’ to do their 5-day a week packing of ‘care packages’ for the troops, they must raise funds. The postage alone is sky-high to send off these boxes. Thankfully the contents of the boxes (toothbrushes & paste, canned tuna, packages of crackers and cheese, cookie, a written note of thanks, etc, plus - NO box goes out without baby wipes and a magazine for men) are donated, by organizations, banks, corporations, individuals.
All year long they have fund-raisers, and public and private donations, but the Gala is outstanding and hugely profitable.
I myself place bins of thank you notes on every table (lately, 18 bins -) to be written to the troops by a monthly women’s organization luncheon, and take the notes to ‘For The Troops’ every 2 months. I stay and do volunteer work - the more ‘menial’ the better for me! The result is 122,000 medium flat rate boxes have been sent to Iraq and Afghanistan since 2004!
While we dine on delicious food at the Reagan, (by an outside caterer) we are entertained by musicians and comedians, raffles and bidding on fantastic items (like donated 11 days in Hawaii; catering party for 6 in your home, beautiful gift baskets, art work, a Remington Gun that was won by the man next to me)! On and on.
I ate so much I can still feel it! And no, I didn’t win anything - - -
Juan Williams knows all of this. He is simply a liar.
The only people Obama cares about are the Gibsmedats, Illegal Invaders, and Homosexual Perverts.

From the man who stated on national television the he doesn’t have a gun in the house because he doesn’t believe in them. So you tell all the bad guys your home with family is a gun free zone? That’s insanity. This poor man is delusional, at times like the one being discussed, I actually feel sorry for him. He really is pathetic. Beckle, Coombs, Rivera...disgusting liberals...but you somehow also know they have an IQ guiding their misguided thoughts. Juan is simply lost and you can see the “blankness” on his face often reflecting his thoughts. This man should not be on TV.
