What should be extremely worrisome to cable providers is the steady decline of young viewers (especially ones with families) who drop their cable plans to go the Roku or Hulu route. For a fraction of the cost many tv shows can be watched without paying for the cable tv option.
Even though we can afford it, my wife and I dropped our cable premium channels to save dough. There is not one network show I like and very few cable shows. Sports is about the only reason I watch tv. "Better Call Saul" is the only cable show I look forward to.
