Navy Rear Admiral John Kirby, the press secretary of the Pentagon and they guy you always see explaining American military action on television, announced his sudden resignation today, one day after the new Secretary of Defense was sworn into office.

He couldn’t work for a person he believes is an idiot/political hack.
Basically it frees him up to speak freely. Especially after Obama's speech of appeasement to terrorist policy today. Them poor terrorist all them wants is a job and education.../sarcasm
He always looked scared out of his mind when he spoke to the public. Obummer has some kind of power over him, something he is bribing/blackmailing him with. The crapola they used to have him say was absurd (just like the rest of the spokes-robots). IMHO he was forced to say the stuff the islamic administration told him to say.
Kirby parroted what everyone else in the regime said. I don’t see a big loss here.

He serves at the pleasure of the govt...he is assigned to the job so his “resignation” is not accurate...he is a serving naval officer who is assigned to this job. Whether he does it or not is up to his boss...but he is still a Navy PAO unless he RETIRES from the Naval service...

Maybe they can find a transgendered Muslim black woman to replace him.
Sounds like the potemkin SecDef hates the military, just like his boss.
then again, those grand military pensions keep their tails wagging and some of them will do anything to get them...
they all took oaths to defend this country......a good number of them, by participating in his debacle called obola are violated any honor they might have once had...

Kirby was a pitiful excuse for an Admiral. He toed the Obama line all the way. Good riddance.

Kirby was really bred to be a PAO type, and by all accounts he was good at it. Some staff officers are top notch in their area, and it is a foolish boss who discards talent.
The new SecDef, Ashton B. Carter, is an odd bird.

This leads me to suspect that there is some personal bad blood here. People you hate you fire immediately. People you think are wrong for the job you consider reassigning.
Kirby seemed like a political hack to me. Maybe he was forced into flacking for this appalling administration.
