Are we reading too much in this ? You know outside of the overt political purposes don’t forget he is a former POTUS that was in the audience. There may be many reasons why that cheering happened. Could it be a protest ? Don’t forget he claims to be the first black POTUS. In one of those stills. Some of those black folks in attendance don’t look too happy while others do. If Obama was there would the reaction be the same ?
And many believe that Obama could easily get a third term today considering the make up of U.S. society today.

Students demanding DePaul University divest from Israel are calling their campaign “a feminist issue” and “a queer issue.”
On Jan., 21, Feminist Front, a student group at the Catholic university, posted a video in which members claimed the divestment movement is a feminist issue because Israeli “methods of occupation historically target women, through violence, kidnapping, and rape.”
The same video alleged that “Israeli forces target queer folks with blackmail.”
