Hollow point or solid? Hollow point, 8 balloons. Solid, 15+.

Also, the color of the balloons is blue. Now you tell us! I logically assumed they were red and that threw all my calculations off.

Obviously. it depends on the size of that water balloons, and the type of round fired. Having said that, assuming it is grapefruit or softball sized balloons, I would say 15.

I didn’t exactly cheat, but I remember watching some tests some time ago and knew it wasn’t many. The SW 500 was far beyond any handgun by far...

They learned during the War Between the States that sand was far better at stopping high velocity cannon than brick fortress walls.

That was my guess.
Humans are 70% water and we stop a bullet in less than 12”.

I think 5 based on my old water jug tests. Yep. Shot the jugs too, which is how I knew. I'm sort of impressed that it flew true in the last one - mine started to tumble.

In thinking about the zombie apocalypse, I imagine an upstairs room with a window and a good view. Then some sandbags and some pieces of plywood behind that would handle things pretty well.
Unless of course the Zombies have RPGs, molotov cocktails, or a match.
