tates: Illinois entrepreneur turned governor Bruce Rauner ends the practice of forced union dues for government workers who don't want to join a union as he pursues right-to-work zones to promote growth.
In Illinois, they're called "fair share" dues collected from workers said to benefit from the collective bargaining of the unions they're in thrall to, whether they want to join or not, moneys collected by force to pay for that representation.
"Fair share" is a favorite mantra to liberals, but not to newly elected Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner. He believes that there's nothing fair about extorting money from people for having a job in this case, a public-sector job with the money used to lobby the same government that pays their salaries.
Rauner, a Republican, took on the public-sector unions early on in his campaign to make a dark-blue state turn red.
"The government-union bosses are at the core of our spending problem in Illinois," he said in a primary debate, arguing that public unions create a "conflict of interest for the taxpayers" and have made a mess of the state's finances.

RIGHT TO WORK PING
The Combine will not like him defying its orders.
Nothing fair about forcing money from people just because they have a job, like taxes.
Even FDR knew the dangers associated with government employee unions..............................
This surprises me. I had thought he was a Trojan horse for the Dumbcrap Party.
He’s not perefect but this is good - better than Boehner.
A Grand Jury is Secretly Assembling
Sounds like he’s using Walker’s blueprint for Wisconsin in his attempt to straighten out Illinois.
Kick the government employee unions in the balls, and stomp them into dust!
Credit where credit is due but don’t mistake him for a conservative. (A concession from a long time Rauner detractor)
Shades of Scott Walker!!!!!!
He could sign an EO prohibiting the use of public resources to collect and distribute union dues.
Well, now we know at least one reason he isn’t living in that sewer named Chicago...
again thanks scott walker and the tea party for stiffening the GOP spine against federal unions.
Any thing with the conspiracy theory that the guy was a hit man for some gov’t entity?
> The Combine will not like him defying its orders.
He has enough money of his own where he can’t be bought off with mere penny ante deals. A real problem for all the corrupt scumbags that have sold their souls for lesser amounts already.
RIGHT TO WORK PING
Pretty courageous. In Chicago, they shoot.
