Bobby Jindal on Friday released a statement responding to the presidents remarks on Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast in which he cautioned Americans from getting on a high horse when taking a stance against radical Islam because people have committed terrible deeds in the name of Christianity, too.
It was nice of the President to give us a history lesson at the Prayer breakfast, Jindal said. Today, however, the issue right in front of his nose, in the here and now, is the terrorism of Radical Islam, the assassination of journalists, the beheading and burning alive of captives. We will be happy to keep an eye out for runaway Christians, but it would be nice if he would face the reality of the situation today.
The Medieval Christian threat is under control, Mr. President. Please deal with the Radical Islamic threat today.

Actually Christianity didn’t grow up, it was grown up from the beginning, it started out fine and humble and was for centuries, it got taken over and sidetracked into a period of violence and corruption of Christianity and a mix of government and religion and power and brutal enforcement.
Brian Williams conquered the “Black Knight”.
There never was a medieval Christian threat — Europe tried to defend itself against marauding bearded barbarians just as present-day America should be doing instead of kissing up to them.
It grew up during the reformation and counter reformation.
Christinity per se was always just fine.
Great response from Jindal. You know, I’m surprised Obama didn’t mention the Salem Witch Hunt, gosh that would have been a threefer, Christians burning women at the stake.
A MILOAB - mother-in-law of all bombs!
His charger took a crossbow bolt in the butt and he ended up in his armor in the mud. Rescuing puppies.
The reformation was about recovering from what had happened to Christianity over the centuries, but what was wrong or immature about Christianity for the first 2 or 3 hundred years?
That was what I was trying to say, that because the Christian faith went through the reformation/counter reformations.
Thank you Mr. Jindal for giving Hussein a badly needed (verbal) b^tch slap.
2. Obama is lying about the Crusades and the Inquisition.
3. Don't accept his premises. He lies.
And in a thousand years, what difference will it make? Who'll care about Islamic butchery and barbarism then?
Such is the vision of our Dear Leader, so far-seeing, so-god-like in his prospect. Obama is unique as an American President, he is our first, historical anti-American American President.
Obama: He's on the other side.
No, Christianity didn’t grow up. It did NOT need to grow for those who practiced it by how Jesus wanted it spread. The Crusades was a defensive war to recover the Holy Lands from the Moslem invaders, thus a just war. Barbarity was not dictated by the Bible but done by the soldiers as they had always done. Slavery was outlawed and campaigned against by 18th and 19th Century Christians who understood it was NOT God’s will.
Islam is still practiced and seen as in its original form, with all the calls for conversion or death! Something NOT found in the Bible.
IMO, Bobby Jindal is the brainiest and most competent elected official in the national spotlight. It’s nice to see that he is developing a sharp sense of humor. It makes him seem less nerdy.
