If you have to be 21 to smoke in California, you shouldn’t be able to vote until you are 50.
It’s amazing the liberals ripoff smokers to supposedly fund programs for children, but that’s not where the money really goes, and then the same morons like meathead that sold this crap to gullible voters want to eliminate the smokers who are their cash cows.
I know. Police and fire fighters too. And EMSA.
But once you start making exceptions, it is hard to stop.
The good thing is that once we get all the government employees off the vote, the military will be in a better place

Why ANYONE who works for a living and is over the age of 30 votes liberal is beyond me.

If you can join the Military at 18, you can Smoke at 18.
If you can Vote at 18, you should be able to Drink at 18.
That being said, I would have to be drunk to Vote for a Democrat, at any age.
No doubt California high school kids would observe a 21 smoking age as scrupulously as they do the 21 drinking age.
Why not raise the age to 35, and be REALLY sure?
There are too many 35-year-old liberals. Raise it even further. :-)
Even better. In some liberal enclaves the government will PAY for your "medical" marijuana.
Because it isn't fair for poor potheads to have to shell out cash for such a necessity of life.

DISCLAIMER: I hate smoking. I hate statism worse.
Raise the voting age to 25 and exclude anyone who is not working and paying taxes with working defined as either military or working in private industry, no government employees other than military should vote. Yeah, it sounds crazy but not nearly as crazy as allowing 18 year old crackheads who are fourth generation dependents on government handouts to vote.
