Preppers' PING!!

Blackmarket soap, sugar and baby food for sale at over five times the government regulated prices, for sale in the Petare slum in east Caracas

Looks like hoarding to me. How soon before this stuff is snatched up for fair distribution to the people?

Send every American University Professor to Venezuela to see how socialism really works.

Its like a bad telenovela.

You know, the ones with plots and twists that just make you look forward to the next episode.

That’s what Venezuela has become.

I guess it’s time for them to have another revolution to reverse the last one.

Venezuela is another of the many countries that have tried socialism as a form of government, and it failed again.

What??? Socialism is turning another country into a starving hellhole???

Color me shocked.

Venezuela’s in such a drastic shape that only drastic, pro-freedom solutions will work, however harsh they may be.

Step 1: Eliminate all restrictions on firearms and other weapons. People will need them to protect themselves against the people who will inevitably riot as a result of the next steps, which all should be done as concurrently as possible.

Step 2: Eliminate all social spending and subsidies. If you’re not getting much money into the country, you cannot afford all the spending.

Step 3: Privatize damn near everything. This would include things we in the US would normally regard as public goods, such as roads, schools, and water systems.

Step 4: Eliminate all wage and price controls. Prices would “necessarily skyrocket”, due to the shortages of damned near everything, but you want to incentivize people to produce or import all kinds of goods. Futhermore, without the social spending, all those out-of-work Venezuelans will need jobs, even if the wages absolutely suck at first.

Step 5: Allow virtually unlimited foreign investment and free trade. Some know-how and goods will necessarily come from outside the country.

Step 6: Eliminate all taxes on income and property at the federal level. Fund what little remains of the federal government with a modest sales and service tax, of no more than 10 percent, but preferably much lower.

Step 7: Adopt constitutional amendments similar to our bill of rights.

Typical of socialist paradises all over the world. Plenty of government control and plenty of misery.

“It’s the government who is responsible for my wife’s death, not the doctors,” Mr Perez, 63, told The Telegraph last week. “Things are very bad in this country, and they are getting worse. I feel that we are in a dictatorship. At the start I believed in Chavez, now I can’t look at him. He is in the best place now.”

Venezuala is our future and this comment is the future comment of the typical obama voter....

Nice to see you figure out the truth Mr. Perez and it only cost you your wife. Hard to have any sympathy for a guy who supported Chavez until it finally cost him personally. If only all Chavez supporters could learn this lesson without dragging the good people down with them.
