Bless the Lord, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name.
(Psalm 103: 1)

KEYWORDS: america; heroes; military; pray
Mighty and Glorious Father,
We bless You, Lord, and Your Holy and Awesome Name. We delight in You, the King of glory for You are strong and mighty in battle. There is no god as mighty and powerful as You, our God. Nothing can withstand Your power. You reign in heaven and on earth, and You alone are worthy of all blessing, honor, glory, power, and praise forevermore. We humbly bow before You as we present our requests to You and lift up our nation, our leaders, and military men and women to You. Thank You for Your invitation to pray for all reasons and on all occasions.
Without Your grace, Father, we too might live in a nation where religious expression is completely forbidden. Thank You for America and its foundation of freedom, justice, and Christianity. Even with the erosion of these rights, we are still so blessed to live here, Lord, and we thank You for choosing this beautiful home for us. Lead our nation to repentance, Father, that we may receive anew the blessings of the Holy Spirit. Help us to love as You do, and let our wills be conformed to Yours. Unite our souls with Your heart and help us to live lives that honor You and that draw souls to Your Kingdom.
Help us to pray for our leaders, Lord. Give us wisdom and understanding to know how to lift them up each day, that Your highest blessings may be given to them and to this nation, and that Your wisdom would guide their every decision.
Father, we hold up our military men and women and pray that You will keep him in perfect peace, that their minds would be stayed on You, and that they would trust in You for everything they need. Let Your peace rule in their hearts, Father, and let them be anxious for nothing. Protect them and their families from the hand of the enemy. When they lie down let them not be afraid. Let their sleep be sweet, for You have promised to make those who trust in You to dwell in safety. Help them to be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, God, for You have considered their trouble. You have known their souls in adversity, and have not shut them up into the hand of the enemy. You have set their feet in a wide place. We thank You, Father, that when our troops pass through the waters, You will be with them. And when they pass through the rivers, they shall not overflow them. When they walk through the fire, they shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch them. For You are the Lord, their God.
Strengthen and bless all those who pray here, Father. Let our prayers rise up as sweet smelling fragrances to You, and may we wait faithfully with praise and thanksgiving for Your wonderful answers. In the strong Name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, Amen.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
