What’s a violent misdemeanor? That does not sound right.

Probably a plea bargained down charge on something involving violence.
It would be a good time to get rid of losing guns over non-violent “domestic violence” charges too, if you really want ot put things in proper context. Domestic violence can cover arguing, shouting, insults, hitting a wall, tossing keys out of a room, etc. Stuff that has nothing to do with actual GUN-related violence.

Yeah. It sounds bogus.
If the gun grabbers had their way, cops could take your guns away based on just about any accusation with no facts or due process.

Your question matches mine word for word. Basically, if it’s violent, why is it a misdemeanor? The article text did not elaborate on the perp’s prior “violent misdemeanor(s)”, just an existing restraining order.

Whats a violent misdemeanor? That does not sound right. I did a quick web search and it looks like simple assault and battery without any aggravating circumstances is a class 1 misdemeanor in Virginia. So if I just haul off and punch you without robbing you or intending to maim or kill you it isn't a felony.
But them I'm not a lawyer and I haven't even spent a night at a Holiday Inn Express recently.

What about traffic tickets? IF YOU CANNOT CONTROL A CAR, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO HAVE A GUN!

Seems like relative control is more in order than gun control.

Barbara Harringtons sister, nephew and mother were shot by her brother in law before he turned the gun on himself. I am not without sympathy for her loss but would it be any better if they had been stabbed or bludgeoned?

Innocent gun owners have nothing to so with the Murder.
All gun control will do is cause more Murders of innocent people, Lady.
Oh, and be aware of the new Buzz word for "Gun Control".
It's now being called "Gun Safety".......

I don't trust women that draw or tattoo fake eyebrow 2 inches above where they are supposed to be. For one, they're lying about where their eyebrows really are and two, they think we're too stupid to notice. Screams liberal and speask volumes...I bet we find out later that she's a Democrat activist who visited the WH prior to the "incident":

Bearing arms is not a right which is within the power of the state to “revoke” — the state can only infringe on it.
