Uh the Mac is a PC ;-) It runs Windows very well.
Apple announces Q1 2015 results: 74.5 million iPhones, 21.4 million iPads, 5.5 million Macs sold

I suspect that Windows 8 had a lot to do with Apple’s market share increase
I’d like to see Bill Gates and his Common Core a$$ go belly up...
That’s funny, I thought the Big Mac was getting smaller.
A post for your readers about the Macintosh market share increasing.
When my grandaughter was entering high school 5 years ago she wanted a Mac and nothing else.
She earned 1/2 and her parents paid the other half.
.
I use a Mac for my work, it’s amazing how many Macs there are now in the workplace compared with just a few years ago.
Well, I am wondering why the leftists are going after Apple for their obscene profits?
They do for oil or energy companies. Could it be they are complete hypocrits?
The stock went way up today.
5.5% in 2013
The Mac has a similar market share against Windows as Windows Phone has against iOS.
But one is applauded and heralded while the other is ridiculed and laughed upon.
Good for Apple - I’m all for more consumer choice. I got an I-Pad II and loved it until the last Apple OS upgrade rendered the unit almost unuseable. Apple tech support could only recommend that I upgrade my unit (ie. buy a newer tablet). Well, I’m old school and don’t think a $500 product should only have a four year shelf life, so I think my next tablet will be a Samsung running Droid.
Not too amazing when you consider how truly awful windows 8 is.
I may go back to windows after ver10 comes out. I’ve been exclusively windows since msdos started dying from version 1 on. OSX was a pretty sharp stick in the eye but Win8 was a corn cob up the wazoo
I would like to see the chart where they breakout business vs. personal use. I’ve worked in IT for 20 years and don’t see Apple making any headway in the corporate domain computer market.
is this an ecumenical religious thread given the source of the thread?
I bought a new laptop in December with Windows 8.1 on it. This last month has been the most frustrating in all my years on a computer. I don’t know what MS thought they were doing with this POS. My next PC will probably be an Apple.
In December I bought a new MacBook Pro to replace my 8 year old Mac Pro :-)
Windows 8.x is the straw that finally broke camel’s Windows PC back.
At least Windows 7 more or less works and is a useable and productive OS so long as you dodn’t install a plethora of 3rd party crapware (and their annoying updaters), dysfunctional 3rd party devices and drivers (and THEIR annoying updaters), and/or a slew of viruses.
But forcing a bizarre, touch-centric cell-phone interface for all PC’s on Earth on top of all of the above was just too much, hence formerly loyal Windows customers fled in every possible direction like rats jumping from a sinking ship.
(BTW, I don’t think Windows 10 will be any miracle OS; it’ll just be Windows 8.x with more Microsoft integrated crap and gimmicks like Cortana, which have nearly zero utility on any Windows PC in the business, commercial, industrial or government environment. For example, does anyone remember the painful, mouseless, voice-activated photo pan, zoom, and crop scene in “Blade Runner”?)
