I have never had the flu, & never had a flu shot, nor any other immune system destroyer, since I was a kid. The only people I know, personally, who had the flu, have also had a flu shot, the previous month or three, before. Just “food for thought,” entropy

Influenza is high fever and severe aches and utter weakness and snot and cough galore
I usually take the shot since I have lung capacity issues

One must BOOST the immune system. Some systems need more boosting than others.
We swear by a product called ‘MycoPhyto Complex,’ by Advanced Bionutritionals, seemingly located in Norcross, Georgia. This Myco has very interesting ingredients. Can testify to this particular brand only, as there are others. Look them up - be sure to get it right.
It helps to take 4 of their capsules when sensing something coming on. Four hours later, again 4 capsules. And so on. Hit ‘it’ hard for 12 hours, then taper the dose the following 12. You’ll be glad you did.
If you pay lots of attention, you’ll be able to ‘listen’ to your body’s needs.
You may require more, or less. Experiment.
If you don’t catch ‘it’ at the outset, I would still take Myco, as we all say around here. It can minimize the illness’s affects. This product is not cheap, but an illness can be very ‘expensive.’
Another product to consider is the homeopathic product ‘Oscillo’ (shortened name - pronounced ‘O sill o’) by Boiron (Boy ron). Trader Joe’s here has it, as well as drug stores. And certainly health food stores.
If they don’t, ask them to get it for you.
There are helpful products around - one just has to to know about them.
(You don’t think an MD would mention these products to you - if they even know about them)!
We’re 21 in the family, aged 8 to 87, and we all use these products with very good results.
Okay, throw in high doses of Vitamin C - - - but personally, I’ve gotten beyond high high doses of C, because of these other products.
