This weekend in San Francisco while speaking to the National Automobile Dealers Association, former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) said, “First and foremost we need to control our border.”
“The 40 percent of the people that have come here illegally came with a legal visa and overstayed their bounds,” he added. “We ought to be able to figure out where they are and politely ask them to leave.”
State and local enforcement should partner with the federal government to encourage illegal aliens to return to their home countries in a “compassionate” way, Bush continued.
The 9/11 hijackers, whose airliner suicide mission slaughtered thousands of Americans, obtained visas despite filling out “incomprehensible” applications, according to ABC News. One hijacker listed his occupation as “teater” while another said his destination was “Hotel.” The State Department freely granted them tourist and business visas, and allowed them to remain in the U.S. after their visas expired.

It is the Republican election dance. First you slide to the right to pick up votes from the base for the Primary, then you leap to the left for the General.
We ask them politely?
Throw them in jail for 6 weeks; make the jail as uncomfortable as possible (subsistence food and cold cells); then deport them.

I think we need to deal with them as forcefully as we would deal with the Moslems (no not just terrorists, ALL moslems).
I mean, if Mexico shoots them on sight at THEIR southern border, why don’t we?
Also, it exposes me to a kind of ‘guilt by association,’ even though I have nothing in common with them :-|

Yes, but remember that Jeb’s plan and desire is to NOT run to the right; to win the nomination without pretending to be a conservative.
Something has caused him to START to change his tune. Perhaps he’s realized that his dream of being the “great moderate hope” a la John Huntsman has NO chance of winning.
He can surely raise tons of money, even crush conservatives and get the nomination, but like Romney before him, he will never be president. And if he REALLY wants the power, he needs to change his tune.
Ask them to leave?...what if they don’t want to?
