A man was kneeling in prayer before the statue of the revered Madonna, with the photograph of a loved one in hand, in the small chapel of St. Barnabas in Perugia (Italy), when he was attacked by five immigrants.
The first thing they did was rip the photo from his hands.
Next they unleashed their hatred against the image of the Virgin Mary. They broke the statue to pieces and then urinated on it.
Don Scarda, pastor of St. Barnabas, said the event was led byfive foreigners. By the time police arrived at the chapel, the unidentified attackers had already fled.
The incident has caused a stir among locals. Some have lambasted Pope Francis who is accused of appeasing immigrantsmostly Muslimsto wild extremes. Earlier he had said that Migrants, through their own humanity, cultural values, expand the sense of human brotherhood.
Although the Diocese condemned the act of sacrilege against the Madonna statue, it also followed the Popes lead by absolving Islam of any responsibility for what happened.

I’d do something more.
Wars are won also by vi et armis
Hmm, you seem so certain of what is in Protestants’ hearts (even putting words in their mouths), while it is in fact you that is the first one on the thread to try to and turn the conversation towards interdenominational bickering.
Not the first Italians has suffered under Mulims:
The massacre of Otranto 1480”
But these scum are worse than the moneychangers in the temple who were whipped by Christ. They have more than defiled a House of Prayer, they have defiled the Mother of God.
I don’t see the word enemy.
In Matthew He says love your enemies.
Where does He say forgive your enemies?
He told us forgive those who sin against us. That includes friends and enemies, does it not?
Is there some special exemption where God will forgive us still, if the ones we do not forgive are our enemies? No, there is no such exemption given.
Actually, several years ago Muslims too over the Holy Sepulcre church in Jerusalem and they urinated all over the building. Defecated too, I believe.
“But these scum are worse than the moneychangers in the temple who were whipped by Christ.”
What does it matter how bad their sin was, when it comes to the question of forgiveness? Is there some bar set by God, so that if a sin falls below it, we do not need to forgive it?
“They have more than defiled a House of Prayer, they have defiled the Mother of God.”
I am quite certain they did nothing of the sort, since Mary passed out of this mortal realm millenia ago, and where she is now, they could not hope to touch her.
It seems to me that all of western civilizations problems can be traced mostly to the Mid East. The birth place of our main religious groups. We are coming to the point where we will all be killing for God. How can we possibly loose by doing that? Everyone will get a free ride to heaven no mater which side you are on. After all, don’t all the Gods promise that? (reht.) I don’t see a bright future for my grandchildren. All religious confrontations will eventually boil over, and when they do, they will be coming our way, so dig in, and be prepared.
While you’re at it, recite the Ten Commandments, especially the one about graven images.
This is how they treat people who have provided them with a refuge.
Satan’s spawn.
Don Corleone, please pick up the courtesy phone. Thank you.
As a Catholic am I now in that same position?
Remember what the palis did to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem? We need a Crusader Pope, Bible in one hand and a sword in the other, not the squish we have now.
Charlie Hebdo routinely published comparable anti-Christian blasphemy, and according to some freepers, we are all supposed to say we are one with Charlie.

All right then, if some vigilante mows down those moslems with an uzi, we should forgive him.
The catholics will do nothing because their leader, the pope, condonse the activity because he is a wimp
