The movie sucked. Who cares if about the sex or race of actors, directors, producers, etc?
Make a better movie. Besides, the Academy Awards are for movies no one has seen or cares about it. It ceased to be about the “best” decades ago.

I can think of great “black” movies that I would love to see made. Unfortunately Hollywood would never tell the story honestly and Sharpton wouldn’t accept it if they did.
The story of James Armistead Lafayette Would be a great movie. He was a slave who served the continental army as a double agent reporting on the activities of Benedict Arnold while feeding the British bad information. Armistead died a free man who himself owned 3 slaves.

Didn’t “Twelve Years a Slave” get a bunch of awards even though the judges admitted they didn’t watch the film? Al wants his affirmative action Oscar. I am surprised Selma didn’t get any awards actually. It is so PC to fawn over anything black and especially St. Michael King.
