(CNSNews.com) Al and Lisa Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame told HuffPost Live on Tuesday that if one of their grandchildren told them that he or she was gay or transsexual, the couple would lovingly educate them about what the Bible says about homosexuality. I would say, Well first of all, I love you. Ill never stop loving you. Youll always be my grandson, but I want to show you what God says, and I want to show you maybe a way to reconsider what you think you are, and maybe you can be something different, said Al Robertson.

I would hope that if a grandchild would tell them that he’s gay or transexual that the Robertsons would get him the psychiatric help that he needs,
as well as telling him what God clearly says about such things.
You know what look at Pet photographer episode I think that guy was gay who taking photo of Boo and Jesse 3 the dogs with Miss Kay and Phil Phil has cool attitude toward that dude
Ah, logic is lost on Libs. Glad the Robertsons have a following.
the couple would lovingly educate them about what the Bible says about homosexuality.
They should have said, we will teach them what the Koran says about sodomites, This would not even be a story if they did.
A liberal loon once got mad at me and said, “I hope you have a gay grandchild.” That made me laugh because first, having grandchildren is impossible for me, but second, I think those of us who are conservative would love our grandchildren whether they are gay or not. Liberals preach tolerance, but we conservatives don’t tolerate. We love.
I agree in principle, but too much of the psychiatric profession is nuttier than the people they are supposed to be helping. That being said, good Christians love people despite their mental illness, not because of it.
Too many well-intentioned people are tricked into answering hypothetical questions.
I remember that episode.
Phil said he had “mother issues”.
lololol - Right On.
as well as telling him what God clearly says about such things.
A better answer to the hypothetical would be “I’d pray and seek God’s will in how I dealt with it.” And just leave it at that.
Also, love Phil's comments about the guys huge watch or something. Too funny!
even if it’s “anti-gay”.
When Jesus went in to the Temple and saw the money changers at work did he say I love you and will keep on loving you but you should not do what you are doing?
No, he went in and over turned a few tables and chairs and drove the money changers out, both they that bought or sold.
Mathew 7
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
The gospel of Jesus is holy and it is to be preached but the swine will trample on it if you give it to them.
People who trample on Gods word, Christian or not are swine.
Do you love them any way?
1 John 3
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
If a young person mentions to his parents that he may be queer, he is just feeling them out, he wants their approval or maybe he wants them to tell him the truth because of peer pressure.
Kids making suckers out of their parents is one thing but parents trampling on God to make their child feel good about them selves is too much.
Yup that episode they show it other day LOL!
Trample on G-d’s word? They’ve never done that.
