The U.S. economy added 252,000 jobs in December, sending the unemployment rate down to 5.6%. The latest jobs numbers continue a streak of strong economic growth, which has seen the unemployment rate drop 0.2 points in the last two months alone.
In November 2012, when none of their sycophants in the media called them out for juicing the numbers by dialing the participation to whatever they want, they realized they could keep doing it.
The best proof of their lies is how welfare enrollment matched the job declines and hasn’t changed much since. Real unemployment is still near the original high.
Well, it will create another 10,000 jobs and the rate will be 0.0%! Fun with numbers by the communist party.
Real EMployment is at a 38-year low.
That is what I am seeing in the Chicago suburbs. I know more people with “temporary” jobs than permanent jobs. Some of them have been at those temp jobs for over 10 years now.
Mt A$$!! Its more like 15.6%. Just look at the want ads in your local newspaper.
I started looking for a job 1.5 years ago (1 if you discount the time off for major medical issues).
But I am not ON “Unemployment”, so I don’t count in these stats.
I could easily get a menial job, but I am trying to get back into the professions.
Unemployment down to 5.6%? Oh, puhleese.
Bada bing.
As bad, stating the number of jobs created. It was recently admitted that virtually all of those new jobs created went to foreign nationals, legal and illegal.
What’s it going to take for the American public to finally press the reset button on this criminal party, their leaders, and the RINO GOPe?
“They keep telling us how bad it was during Bush”
Oh, I get sick of these accusations:
“Bush had us in a recession in 2001!” No, he inherited a recent recession under Klintoon.
Then, when Bush got the same kind of problem at the end of his tenure, just like Billy - last few months started recession after 8 years in office - libs EXTENDED how long that recession was BACKWARDS as if Bush had it the whole time!
Same situation, but always Bush’s fault!
God, that sounds like my nephew. He always goes back to pizza delivery when he’s having trouble.
(I wish he had stuck with McDonald’s management track, but, hey, it’s my nephew!)
93 MILLION Americans OUT OF THE WORKFORCE, and they claim a decrease in jobless numbers....
Um, not in the oil fields. My neighbor’s company, oil related contractor, has been laying off 200 people a week since the oil price has been coming down.
To you and me..but to the LameStreetMedia(LSM) it means out of work voters..I mean workers..
It’s much closer to 15.6%.
92.9 million people out of work and unemployment at 5.6%. What’s wrong with that picture?
It will drop lower by the end of the year and the Dem candidate will campaign on FULL employment achieved!
The LIV are so gullible!
Mine’s trying to get into corrections and border patrol, but it takes months. In the meantime, he’s got to eat and pay rent.
I can remember when Bush routinely had high GDP numbers and the Rats were saying it was the worst economy since Herbert Hoover.
100 Million not working
