French Media reported Wednesday that a car explosion outside of a synagogue near Paris was not related to the terror attack at the Charlie Hebdo offices, which left 12 people dead and several others injured.
A car caught fire in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles on Wednesday near a synagogue, an event the city's mayor, François Pupponi, called an "accident, not an attack," according to Metronews.

Interesting how cars just explode in France ... in front of synagogs.
it has the same profile and color as the getaway car...coincidence?
no coincidence is my opinion ... May Thunder Come from ‘the People’; may thunder come.
“Peugeot” is French for “mechanical failure”.
Someone on FR joked about this excuse this morning.
Yeah, mine blew up just the other day at The Cheesecake Factory.
Well, that was probably the car’s spontaneous protest against the non-halal foods being served there.
extreme caution advised for all Authorities in France ...
Of course the French government is likely BSing their people, just as ours does us. There was direct-to-the-Internet footage of the shootings, so it couldn’t be glossed over and hidden that this was Islamic terrorism. Otherwise, who knows how this would’ve been reported.
Last two Parisians I met I shared a hospital room with a few months ago. It was a couple- he had the issue, she wouldn’t leave his side for a minute, slept in the guest chair. Between their English and my French (spotty at best) we managed to have a delightful conversation. Very nice folks.
I’m sorry to hear that France has lost a dozen of her citizens to terrorism, today. I can only pray that it starts to wake people and their governments up- on both sides of the Atlantic.
And it's not related to said terror attack...even without a full investigation first...
I wondered the same. I believe the getaway car to be a Citroën.
“...I believe the getaway car to be a Citroën.”
And it went more than 500 feet before breaking down?
Ignition switch not kosher?
Exactly, there does not seem to be a lot of collateral damage to anything other than car.
Was it an electrical fire?
Maybe it was a copy cat that just firebombed the car.
Maybe the car owner owed the local loan shark money and was behind on his payment(I just watched Casino over the weekend AGAIN).
IF it was a terrorist bombing, the whole block would have been on fire or at least riddled by ball bearings, shrapnel, etc.
How many white flags popped in the air after the attack?
*snort*
The only mechanical issue I've suffered there is that my seatbelt shrinks after a visit...
