Is this a House of Cards moment when they know they have the votes to oust Boehner and thus he is going public that he is running?

You should tell him Rush may have DECIDED to start taking sides in primaries - something he’s refused to do for 22+ years - and squishes like Poe will be first targeted after today’s voting.
Saw an article on Politico that said at least a dozen Democrats are skipping the vote to go to the Cuomo funeral; this is supposed to raise the threshold to 35 GOP votes needed to oppose Boehner.

Yes, Dems get to vote. Traditionally, each party has only voted for a member(s) of their party (with a few minor exceptions). Most of the Dims will probably vote for Pelosi, who should not have enough votes to become Speaker, but would become Minority Leader (same as she’s been).
Apparently Grothman WILL vote for Boehner.
As I mentioned in my email to him he didn’t even make it a full day in DC before he became a part of what he swore he was going there to shake up.
Now I start as I told him my personal mission moving forward to make sure anyone I know votes for anyone but Glenn moving forward.
Just goes to show that the Washington elite can’t be too concerned with what us simpletons back home want...nice work Glenn it didn’t take you long.

I think I heard the all have to be sworn in before the vote for Speaker.
Looking at the live feed, the entire house is just yapping with each other. We are paying them, according to some quick calculations and assumptions, $725 per minute to yap.

I knew Daniel Webster about 40 years ago. I would not read any machinations into his statement. I do take hope in the word “many.” He was never prone to exaggeration, though he could be being misled as well.
