One council member in Maryland not only didnt want to comment on a story, but he also doesnt want his name in any news articles about him.
The issue stems from an article Frederick News-Post reporter Bethany Rodgers wrote about concerns Kirby Delauter, a Frederick County Councilman, and fellow Councilman Billy Shreve had over County Council parking spaces. Delauter declined to comment for the article, which isnt out of the ordinary for a public official.
But what he did next, is.
Shame on Bethany Rodgers for unauthorized use of my name and my reference in her article today, Delauter posted on Facebook.
He also had another request.

Kirby Delauter, a Frederick County Councilman, has nothing to do with this post.
(hubris + arrogance) x 10 = Democrat
Sorry Charlie- Fair Use gives anyone the right to use a politicians name in any story about him or what they have done - that’s part of the job.
You are a PUBLIC servant. what you do can (and should) be reported.
(emphasis should be on servant)
This just goes to show everyone that stupid is NOT confined to a color or race. Just damn. What an imbecilic asshat.
I guess the councilperson does not understand his responsibilities as a public figure. Outside of Executive Session all public business is to be conducted in the daylight.
How often do we read about how a Conservative, or even a RINO is “offended” over something? Fake outrage is SOP for Rats...obviously knowledge of the first amendment is not.
Considering that journalists are paid professional liars I think he has a point.
In reading his post to the reporter, it appears that he is a Conservative, since he accuses her of liberal bias.
He will also forever be a public person whether he likes it or not even when he goes back to “private” life if he ever gets defeated in an election.
Elitist Privilege
Looks like a mugshot.
The Reps have known for a while that the media can bite back. Looks like the Dems will have to learn that the hard way.
Request denied.
Sad that this has become one man’s way to “fight” the liberal bias in the media. If he’s not careful (i.e., just shuts up at this point) he’s going to become a laughing stock and this entire affair will be used, derisively, to lambaste all future charges of liberal bais in the media.
They smell blood now and like the Sharks they are, they are circling for the feeding frenzy. Soon it’ll be national TV news: Maryland pol sues paper for using his name! The only difficulty for them will be how to fit the word “Republican” in that teaser.
Kirby, Kirby, Kirby!
LOL. Who would have thought?
I [erroneously] assumed because of his location and his attitude he was a Democrat.
This serves to remind me that though the libs are by far the worst, most of the “Republicans” are pretty bad also. It seems like holding public office could corrupt Mother Theresa (were she alive, of course).
Also, a council organism is a public figure. The Supreme Court says public figures have to show a higher standard of evidence to prove libel or slander against themselves.
