...Merkel, the German chancellor, has used her New Year’s Eve address to launch a scathing attack on the country’s growing anti-Muslim protests, calling its leaders racists who are driven by hatred.
In a televised message due to be broadcast tonight, Mrs Merkel urged Germans to turn their backs on demonstrations that have seen up to 17,000 people gather each Monday in the eastern city of Dresden to protest against the “Islamisation of the West”.
Speaking to those considering joining the protests, she said: “Do not follow those who have called the rallies. Because all too often they have prejudice, coldness, even hatred in their hearts.”

Well past time to nail the missives on the door of the mosque.
She, nor anyone she knows, have to live in their neighborhoods.
Western leaders, by and large, are completely suicidal when it comes to Islam and will move far more aggressively against anyone who opposes Muslim fanatics than make even a little effort to fight dhimmitude.
They need to follow Sweden’s and start burning their mosques.
Have all of her loved ones been accounted for?

Merkel is making the fatal mistake of comparing Muslims to Jews. Muslims are the Nazis.
Oh, no. Muslims only lovingly cut throats and behead people.
So, how does one democratically oppose Islamization without, in Merkel’s book, being hateful or prejudiced? How does one maintain one’s own culture against the benighted hoardes?
Stupid people shouldn’t breed. Or lead.
No, if that was in her heart, she’d say it.
She may encourage some to take a harder stand against the protesters, but in fact, her actions will encourage them to grow.
Indeed, Islam is in need of a Reformation,
but that’s pretty much where the parallel stops.
The problems within the Christian church were due to the church ignoring the Word of God in the Bible in favor of their own power and wealth and tradition.
The problems with Islam stem from those ACTUALLY FOLLOWING their “holy” book.
It’s like saying:
The Nazi’s hate Jews, they wish for their destruction. The Nazi’s are a supremacist organization that do not tolerate any other political organization or the Church, anything that will get in their way. The Nazi’s became tyrannical butchers once in power, only then showing their true colors and barbarism. All whom opposed the Nazi’s were slaughtered.
...now, replace the word “Nazi” with “Muslim”. Not recognizing the threat is exactly the same as not recognizing the threat of the Nazi’s - before the outcome was understood. You’d think that Germany would be the first to see this kind of threat. This is why Islam is so dangerous, because it masquerades under the veil religion when it is really a totalitarian political movement. It is amazing to me that so many do not recognize the threat - it is almost like a magical spell over people. We wouldn’t call people “Naziphobes” or “racist” for criticizing Nazi’s (which represented a specific “race”), yet this is what happens if you criticize Islam (which isn’t a “race”).

Muslims believe that muslim is a race (that it is something you are born with and the converts aren’t good enough for their daughter) but actually it’s a warlord’s political system of rule.
And it is foreign funded imperialism.
There is no “cultural exchange” going on and in the Islamists’ home country of Saudi Arabia (that EVERY muslim bows down in loyalty to 5 times a day EVERY day), there is ZERO tolerance for non-Islamic faiths.
The West is committing suicide.
Merkel is a cowardly old cow who welcomes the decent of her people into oblivion.
The Left has made the same claim about those engaging in a "red scare" "hysteria" about Communists.
We'd all LOVE to live under Communism if we only knew what it TRULY is. < /sarc >
I have opined for nearly a decade that when Islam blows up in Europe the aftermath will include mass executions of former government colluders.
Not a terribly original prognostication, merely an assumption that a cycle which has repeated for thousands of years will continue.
