Two West Virginia officers were shot and wounded Thursday in a traffic stop on Interstate 64 that led to the discovery of two bodies.
According to State Police Lt. Michael Baylous, two police officers from the town of Lewisburg pulled over a white Chevrolet SUV with North Carolina plates after learning it had been reported stolen.
As the officers were conducting the traffic stop, a red Chevrolet truck pulled alongside them and the driver "pulled a handgun and shot at both officers," Baylous said.
The drivers of both Chevrolets then fled: the red truck "went over the hillside and was eventually taken into custody," while the other motorist "drove behind a guardrail on the interstate and hid for a short amount of time," Baylous said.
"Eventually, he walked up to the interstate and turned himself in to law enforcement without incident."
Neither driver has been named, but they informed police that they were father and son...

It’s Barry’s “fundamentally transformed”, lawless America. Everything and anything is fair game.
Spirit of Lawlessness abounds everywhere you go.
I haven’t recognized this country for a long time.
Barry has accelerated this nation’s demise & lawlessness even further.
Why not?
Sure, why should anyone obey the laws of the land if the head of highest office and the top cop in the land don’t? Picking and choosing which laws they will enforce and ignore depending on personal beliefs do not work in a republic. Expect chaos...
Why only the names of the deceased?
You know why not. The same reason there’s no mug shots with the story.
Telling ain’t it .....not telling......gun up folks, haters are empowered by Precedent Erkel Mugabe’s scorched earth policies in America.
Good grief! Sounds like a Fargo episode.
Yes. I do love that movie. I prefer the TV cut.
“I havent recognized this country for a long time.”
Same here.
“gun up folks”
This is a reason why I am not out of reach of a firearm anywhere in my home or car. Given the ages of those victims, my wife and I could easily have been them.
Consider the nature of the crime- home invasion followed by auto theft and murder. That is more typical of Negro criminals than white criminals. It would not be PC to release the IDs and releasing the names of the perps would likely be tantamount to identifying them by race. Of course refusal to identify is also tantamount to ID by race.
It is seeming more like Rhodesia every day.
I don’t think race is involved. It’s kind of a Southern thing, though. Home invasions of the homes of elderly white people (this was NC, so they were probably fairly well-off retirees from elsewhere), followed by their murder and the theft of their vehicles, is actually almost always done by your basic rural white trash, usually recently released from prison.
You are correct..... rabid, feral criminal trash is on the loose. A Glock 35 with a Surefire X400 rail mounted laser and light is in the holster on my person now. Aftermarket barrel added to convert the caliber to 357sig, Its fed the basic commercial load of 125r Speer Gold Dot HP’s.
Gosh, I hope there’s not a backlash against.....wait a minute, how do we know who not to backlash against if we don’t have a name or picture?
There has got to be some special torment reserved for a father like this, who enticed his own son to commit murder. This is a person with literally no shame.
Around here, I'm still more likely to have a caucasian dirthead murder my wife and I, although the local political machine has imported enough of their new sacred bird to make it close. Trash of any color is still trash, and while midwesterners like to pretend it can't happen here, it does.

A little more info (not much new) from a local source:
The father and son were from Texas, according to this.
