NY1 has learned that former Governor Mario Cuomo has died at the age of 82.
This comes just hours after Andrew Cuomo was publicly inaugurated for his second term as the 56th governor of New York.
Governor Cuomo said in his speech at One World Trade Center that his father was unable to attend because he was too ill. He also said he and his family had spent New Year's eve with the senior Cuomo.
Governor Cuomo had also changed his initial plans for his swearing in ceremony to take place in Manhattan as opposed to Albany.
That made him the liberal media darling for a year or two (until Gary Hart came along). Meanwhile, Reagan was re-elected in a massive landslide.

Not a fan, just on the gun control issue alone. He wasn’t, however, a whackjob liberal like the sort that currently rules the Democrat party. He was an older-school liberal. So I guess I cannot spew true hatred for him, like I could for Ted Kennedy, when that POS died.
Exactly the point. cardinal O’Connor denied a Catholic funeral to a murdered Mafia boss and did not allow him to be buried in consecrated ground. Mario Cuomo openly supported the wholesale killing of innocent human life and did all in his power to keep ot legal. He openly and maliciously opposed the efforts of Cardinal O’Connor who tried to protect the unborn. His vile son continues the Cuomo family tradition. Very much doubt that Cardinal Dolan has the fortitude to deny a Catholic burial to this tyrant.
I won’t stop any DUmmies if they decide to become reckless with their OWN lives. The rest of society is better of without them.
Was I too harsh? I don’t think so. Calling evil by it’s name is truth. Covering it up is speaking falsehood. He was an evil, evil person. That is truth.
Who Cares?
There is a Cuomo, Duke of NY. If the old one died who gives a shit, there is always the son to take over as Duke of New York.
What is important is for the mass to realize that there is no “Governor of the State of NY”. There is, and will always only be, the “Cuomo of New York”.
This title confers total lawmaking and enforcement powers.
The Pope was responding to a letter which Ted sent to him, this is the polite thing to do. A Cardinal was present at Ted’s funeral but he did not preside. Accuracy is important. Mario will have the funeral his family wants, most will come for the show, a few will actually pray for his soul.
More than any other single individual, Mario Cuomo is responsible for the Democrat party’s decision to make support for baby-butchery its litmus test. Good riddance.
We do not know if he repented. He now stands before the Judge.

As far as the Cardinal presiding, if I missed a definition of what roles the Catholic leaders fill at the burial of catholic royalty, then fine, but the Cardinal was the top Catholic representative involved.

I’ve found it interesting that he never took the plunge in running for president, even though the Democrats seemed willing to give him the nod on a sliver platter.
In the letter the Pope said he would pray for Ted, he would do the same for you. It was no endorsement of his life.

Andrew Cuomo was his father’s id, aggressive where Mario was cerebral—the muscle that helped win Mario three terms as governor of New York. Now he looks like he’s about to take over his father’s old job. Has he learned enough from both of their mistakes?

The Pope wrote a letter to Ted Kennedy blessing him, as Ted was on his death bed.
There is nothing false in that observation, yet you keep posting to try and give the impression that there is.
His soul? Ever see what his soul did to upstate NY? The people whose lives his APA destroyed?
