Proverbs 24:17-18 (New International Version)
17 “Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice, 18 or the LORD will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from him.”
Was I too harsh? I don’t think so. Calling evil by it’s name is truth. Covering it up is speaking falsehood. He was an evil, evil person. That is truth.
I have found that to be true.
the book of Wisdom: We have erred from the way of truth, we wearied ourselves in the way of iniquity and destruction and have walked through hard ways. What hath pride profited us? or what advantage hath the boasting of riches brought us? . . . Such things as these the sinners said in hell. (Wis. 5:6-14).
Mario was a PUBLIC sinner. PUBLIC. he castigated pro-lifers on national TV for 40 minutes. We will not join into the national celebration of a modern-day Herod who tried to use the Lord’s Gospel to justify the abortion movement and to admonish those in the churches that did not agree with him.
The GOSPEL contains no precept to “protect the reputations” of such men. The deceased made a choice to become a vocal public national leader of the “pro-choice” cause.
