Hello all. Sitting here at home and wondering if anyone else out there is spending this evening alone.
On this night of all nights when families gather and friends share gifts and time, some of us are, for various reasons, spending Christmas Eve solo.
Not necessarily a bad thing - alone doesn't always mean lonely. But, it does mean alone.
Check in if that includes any of you, my fellow Freepers.
Mmmm Butter Pecan. yummy. Wishing you happiness and Merry Christmas!
Between me and work and the cat and no family in area, yeah I’m with you.
The more I deal with the people of society today, the more I like my pet scorpion.
I went to services tonight too. Back home, two cats, power went out briefly (woohoo!), at least one of my sisters will call tomorrow. All in all, not the worst of arrangements...
Just the two of them. A Jack Russell and a Corgi Jack Russell mix.
Family, my kids, holidays, hosting family stuff. I loved all that. Can’t do it now. That time abruptly ended. Will get to see my kids for breakfast. Thankful for that time tomorrow.
The wife is working 6:00 to 6:00 tonight, so it’s just me and the cats. We’ll do presents after she comes home and gets some sleep. All the best to you, and a Merry Christmas!
Yup. :-(
I’m solo as well, this good night. I’ll go dancing later tonight.
A little something to keep us amused:

Merry Christmas all!
I’m so sorry.
If any of us can do anything for you please let us know.
FR has always been a very supportive bunch of folks.
I didn’t know it was only for military people. It probably says and I just missed it. Sorry for crashing in a couple of times.
With the Department of Homeland Security, you’re never completely alone.
Alone watching a marathon of Scrooge movies on YouTube, wrapping gifts even at this late hour.
A Corgi/Jack Russell -— not attentive and hyper at all, right?
It’s how we FReepers entertain our military. Everyone is welcome.
Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah (complete) to you Skooz and all FRiends!!
Adonai Elohim is in the house as Emmanuel. G-d bless you all and may the New Year bring you closer to Him!
I’m alone this evening after having the grandkids here this afternoon. I’m ok with it. My childless sister, however, is spending the evening alone, for the first time in 47 years. She lost her husband this past April, and today would have been his 66th birthday. She wanted to tough it out, thinking that it can’t get any worse. I’m sure there are a lot of stories out there like this, and I feel deeply for them.
Go to a local church service tonight.
Ha! Merry Christmas!
