Well, we’re about to go down this path again.
So expect a President opposed to the founding principles of the Republic, whether Republican oe Democrat.

Exactly right. Too bad Rove and his ilk are stuck in the past, too old school to know. Wonder if there has been a Florida poll on Jeb? Can’t imagine he will do well.

Pretty good article.
This : “margin of loss is significantly less important than the direction of the political narrative” s true and why anyone would have a better nominee than Romney.
It’s interesting also in that Shapiro is usually quite disdainful toward Cruz and it is obvious Shapiro doesn’t like him.

[Article]
" For all the talk about grassroots exasperation with the Republican elites, it is the Republican elites who despise the grassroots."
Call them the "Round-Up" or "Weed-B-Gone" wing of the Party.
Death to grass roots! Karl Rove forever!

RE:If Ted Cruz, who is quite possibly smarter than the whole field was in 2008 and 2012, combined, cant beat Jeb Bush, who unlike his father, grandfather and older brother, did not even attend Yale, who can? Didn't you think the same thing about Newt against Romney?
His whole point was, he's sworn off that bottle with Karl Rove's picture on the label, the one called "Yeah, but Mittens is still better than.....___". No more "The Price Is Right" strategerizing, give us a real conservative.
Bump.

It is going to be another Romney moment. They are not going to criticize and sit like children unpresidentialy getting lectured on leftist morality. Thus why would the undecided vote for them if there is no formulated opposition.

A guy like Jeb would probably be able to implement stuff like gun control just the way Boehner pushed for Amnesty without forcing the democrats in a trade.
The only thing left is I might have to confront black panthers at the polls to keep my right to vote for a clown.

Yup, that’s the Left’s meme. The same BS the GOP-e is pushing.

"Ted Cruz is on the right track, but America needs to bring back American jobs."
Smaller government will bring back more than any other proposed solutions because smaller government would lower all the regulations currently in place and likely to grow.
Any jobs that were brought back would probably be filled by lawbreaking illegal immigrants who remit substantial amounts of their earnings to their home countries thereby stiff arming the American economy.

Sorry, Jeb, but even if you were right on the issues, I have zero inclination toward dynasties. We want NO American Aristocracy. (Same for the Clintons, Kennedys, etc.)
So, to the poor little rich kid who wants to be president....NO!

Jeb Bush isn’t even close to Cruz as a potential POTUS. He should stay in Florida and enjoy the sunshine.

Ted Cruz is our last hope before implosion. I don’t want to go the route of the UK.

Who knows how it would turn out, really?
One thing that I would love to see, even if Cruz did not get the nomination is a strong performance that effectively forces all the other candidates to shift right dramatically.
Who knows? In the aftermath of the fight, one or more of them might break their necks whiplashing back to the center left for the general election.

I won't be voting for another Bush. I will vote 3rd party or not at all if he's the nominee. And I am one of those guys that usually get mad at people on here for not supporting lame republicans over democrats. Ditto. No point in voting for Jeb.

(not supporting RINOS) Rem: The Reagan Rule: Always support the most conservative in the
race, looks like, if Jeb is nominated, the Conservatives may just repeat '12.. or vote third
party..there is no two party system in Wdc, only the Wash. DC Establishment Party. 😕
that said, we as Conservatives, MUST organize locally/statewide to defeat these vile
creatures. Any Congresscritters, whom support the Establishment deserves defeat.

Those Republicans -- largely coastal donors who scorn social conservatives as rubes, and shun the supposed fiscal extremism of the tea party -- have been searching for a candidate who will buck the base on immigration, who doesn't mind hand-in-glove corporatism, and who, most of all, feels the same way they do about the grassroots. Good luck then getting grassroots votes from the base, GOP-E.
